    Public announcement: I may or may not be around much this January.  I am getting ready for surgery on the 23rd to remove some cancer. The prognosis for success is quite good and I am generally optimistic about the outcome. I'm told to expect  a recovery period of 3-4 weeks afterwards.

    Wish me luck and to all of you, Fly Safe.

      Thanks. I'm hoping that during the recovery phase I will have some time to work on some pet projects.
