I think it's better to just assume that it's not YOU building the rockets, but your engineers and such. Thus your VAB/SPH time and your flight time are happening simultaneously.
-
I mostly just use it for the custom info panels and SmartASS. Though since the SAS got updated I don't use SmartASS nearly as much.
I also use the landing guidance, but only for the prediction, I still do the maneuvers manually. Occasionally I'll use the auto-circularize, but if I'm setting up satellites or stations I do it manually for greater accuracy.
The auto-pilots can be helpful for learning if you're a beginner, but you should use them to learn how to do it manually, not as a crutch because you can't do something.
-
I wouldn't mind my save being broken with every update if it were necessary. It's just part of playing a game that's still in development, and it's worth it for the progress.

120 tons to LKO.
I have 4 other flavors of it with lower part-counts for 80t, 45t, 25t, and 10t.

How about we get weather on Kerbin before we worry about space weather.

Retrograde solar orbit with apoapsis below Moho

"Missing in action" is just a polite euphemism..
MIA doesn't mean dead, there are plenty of cases of MIA people being found. In order to be KIA the remains have to be recovered and identified.
-
Space Engine would be the winner if you include procedural generation. It's got an entire universe.
-
I'd be more concerned that the boulders aren't made of solid matter.
-
Eventually there's going to be penalties for losing your crew, so it's not a good habit to get into.
-
There are an unrealistic amount of craters on the mun... Our moon has much less
And Jupiter isn't green, what's your point?
-
There's plenty of flat space in the maria.

More serious: Very nice! I'll be expecting a 'live' publicly accessible 'webcam' from our future 'Mars Glider' within a decade or two! Ya hear me NASA/ESA/JSA? (Duna planes prove it! we can make something fly there!)
Well there's still those little issues of extreme latency and communication blackout when the satellite isn't in position, or when the sun is between the two planets.
-
Don't forget that the Mun has multiple regions like Kerbin. Even if you don't land, just orbit over each of the major craters and the poles.

I'm hoping the devs implement a way to transfer data/samples from one vehicle to another via docking, because right now you can't do sample-returns if you do an Apollo style mission profile.
It would be neat if you could earn a bonus payout for advanced maneuvers like docking once missions/budget is added. Like if you land on the Mun and return you get $100,000, but if you do a CSM/LEM rendezvous you get $110,000; with a summary screen at the end of the mission listing all your bonuses or penalties.
-
We simply need an action added to the legs to make them fully extend. Then we can just map the legs to an action group and extend them after landing.
-
In addition to stock radial drogues I'd like to see a small-scale stack drogue to match the Mk16 parachute. A stack parachute that deploys chutes from the sides allowing you to put docking ports/etc. on top of it would be nice, but might make things a little too easy.
The parachutes definitely need some love though, I don't think they've changed since 0.8, except for the cut/repack option. Even the model for the Mk16 is still the same.
-
Gets at least a Mun flyby and return with tier 0 parts, could probably do Minmus too, but I haven't tried it.
-
It's still easier than it used to be in the early versions.
-
Perhaps not an outright "game-over" but there should be penalties that set you back.
Once the budget/currency system and crew training is in, there will be greater consequences for mission failures and crew losses.
-
Probably this thing.
You don't use RCS or reaction wheels (I doubt you turn off your SAS function)... how to you even... go around the space and stuff?I assume he isn't doing any docking. Other than that you don't need RCS, the capsules/probes all have their own reaction wheels.

I like the idea of requiring kerbals to be present to perform experiments in the station science module.
Make it so the more kerbals you have on the station the higher your science multiplier, up to a limit of course.

So these guys clearly play KSP... (Mars Exploration Vehicle Concept)

All of those concepts are based on real-life though.
The tanks are orange because the insulation foam used on them is orange, orbital construction is necessary for any large spacecraft, NTR's have been around for decades, and Skylab was made out of an empty Saturn V fuel tank.
