What are the odds that the KSP IP was acquired by some private equity firm looking to make a cheap buck?

And so the first content update for Kerbal Space Program 2, For Science!, became the only content update. Granted whilst this did give people a somewhat more positive view of Kerbal Space Program 2, it was too little too late in the eyes of T2 as poor reception, lack of ROI and other factors resulted in the game all but ceasing development just 6 months later, leaving behind a unfinished waste of £45 that, considering T2 is still selling it and marketing it as "Early Access" unequivocally constitutes a scam. Whilst the player base and developers mourn what could have been, Take Two executives run away, sweeping it under the rug like they did before and pretending like it's everyone's fault but theirs. For Science in a way became fitting; Kerbal Space Program 2 is an experiment showcasing what happens when you have a company that has no idea how to develop a game of this type, legitimately does not care for players or developers and instead siphoning as much money as possible regardless of any PR backlash, especially when lying through their teeth and abhorrent management and meddling.

Negative things about the game, development, and the silence
AstroEvada replied to Izny's topic in KSP2 Discussion
I think the people who should rightfully have any vitriol flung their way are the higher ups at Take-Two. They've wronged their employees, wronged the community and now they just get off what amounts to scot-free after scamming a lot of people for a product which had little chance of succeeding; you could tell right away that they were completely out of touch with the KSP community by how they think KSP would be a successor to Minecraft and that Kerbals were gonna be Minions 20, not to mention the absurdidity of being so tight-lipped about literally anything which only served to fuel the anger within the community. I can wager a billion dollars that T2 management think that it's not their fault, it's the consumers and employees fault. -
And so, the journey ended not with a huzzah, a bang or even a kraken attack; the journey ended before it even again as a result of corporate incompetence.

Video game archival is fun :3 Also, the old MK3 had this old ksp-typa jank to them that prevents me from truly hating it.

Eventually, one must realise that extreme optimism may give way into...to put it in the simplest terms, delusion.

Unofficial Official "But the depots" Watchalong Thread.
AstroEvada replied to PDCWolf's topic in KSP2 Discussion
The depots were last updated over a week ago at this point. It's safe to say the game has reached what amounts to "brain death" -
An update of sorts from your forum moderation team.

Sorry I am just unbelievably furious at these greedy and out of touch sore losers. But hopefully, the KSP forums would be transferred to a new company to host it. Though considering that T2 executives [snip], I wouldn't put it past them to shut the forums down whilst lying through their teeth. Hopefully though, like I said, it could be transferred to a new company within maybe a few months. -

I actually hope the TakeTwo executives [REDACTED] -
I won't reitirate what @Gargamelsaid, but honestly..this is just copium at this point. The Kerbal Space Program IP has been tainted by this godawful sequel and will remain that way for years to come. KSP2 is pretty much dead. The last steamDB update was 3 days ago and it is Thursday. The company has shut down, Take Two is sweeping this under the rug and you should just accept that.

It's dead. The game is dead. Nate has also been laid off. TakeTwo is just gonna treat this IP like it did with Bioshock.

To put it bluntly. Anyone who still thinks KSP2 has any semblance of a future is just plain delusional at this point.

"Trust me guys colonies is coming out, it's not like the game was already doomed from the start due to poor management, financial issues, deadlines and then ultimately had its dev team laid off due to a less than stellar early access launch and thus not a good ROI but trust me guys colonies is coming soon because they said it will guys. It's fun and stable guys, it's not like it has less features than KSP1 had and thus makes it objectively inferior, guys trust me colonies is coming out."

What Becomes of the Brokenhearted This song was also featured in S1E1 of "For All Mankind" so I find this fitting

Does Update v0.2.2.0 Indicate Anything about KSP 2's Future?
AstroEvada replied to Aviator01's topic in KSP2 Discussion
My guess is that TT2 demanded they stick with KSP1's source code and Unity just to save time and costs.
