[WIP] Old school NASA-style Probe Control Room IVA
Coin replied to kurgut's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
That makes sense, I've stacked the avionics with other probe cores before (for the looks), would be worth doing to get the Control Room IVA on a controlled probe. -
[WIP] Old school NASA-style Probe Control Room IVA
Coin replied to kurgut's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Does it pick up for the RP-1 procedural avionics? I've always had trouble using any stock probe cores in RP-1 and could never get a Control Room to show for RP-1 avionics. -
Oh my god I'm an idiot. Thank you so much!

Can anybody show me what the Kerbalism toolbar icon looks like or something? I'm just trying to find the science archive, but I don't think the Kerbalism button is even showing up on my toolbar.

Niiiiice, top 5 KSP2 mod now! Seriously!
-
So, does this mod make them violently spin while warping at the moment or not? Because this seems like a wonderful addition but IDK if I want to spin violently

Bug Status [12/22]
Coin replied to Intercept Games's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
Dope -
I'd like if it was exactly like KSP1 at high speeds, but just a stumble animation when you drop 10 feet (like, on the mun lol) because in KSP1 they go braindead pretty much every time they hit the ground.
-
Yeah I was very disappointed when my kerbal no longer flopped and flailed around upon throwing him at the ground. On the bright side, they scream a lot and even make a loud bang sound when thrown against the side of a fuel tank

Fuel/Ore? IDK man

FPS isn't the issue- interested in discussion
Coin replied to VlonaldKerman's topic in KSP2 Discussion
This is completely incoherent -
It's not like minecraft lol. It's colony building, the thing that everyone and their mother has been creaming over since Kerbal Konstructs came out. And we don't know exactly how it will work, but you can safely assume that you don't need to mine Duna to make a rocket for your first Mun landing. I'd wager that resource collection will be necessary for late-game interstellar vehicles (Orbital construction...), and I have no clue whether you'll need funds or resources in early game! * Maybe an early 'learning' session would be setting up a custom mining station around the Space Center, to feed you a basic supply of resources for early rockets. The KSC is considered a colony, after all. I really have no idea, but I'm interested in how it will play out. Come to think of it, maybe KSC resources will be handled at the Administration Building! I have no idea! LOL

I thought it was called "Adventure Mode", and from what I can tell it's basically career mode but you need resources to build parts instead of money. Hopefully science collection is still there. Probably quite a bit different from career in general, but I like the idea of actually having a use for mining resources. If that's the case, endgame would probably be much better as well. In KSP1 career you struggle a lot in the beginning, and then once you get past Minmus you get a ton of science and money really quickly and have no 'real' reason to visit other planets. The tech tree in KSP1 is easily exhausted by the time you reach Duna!

FPS isn't the issue- interested in discussion
Coin replied to VlonaldKerman's topic in KSP2 Discussion
For some reason a lot of people have forgotten that publishers look at sales numbers, and that by buying a game you are supporting the developers by giving them a sale. It's not as good or straightforward as paying an Indie dev directly, but it is what it is. People around here acting as though buying the game isn't supporting the developers. It certainly is, and it's a big reason that I bought KSP 2. My impatience is another reason. -
1. Saving my rocket in the VAB also saves my selected kerbals 2. All the Kerbals have their own accurate head in the selection menu (UNLIKE KSP1!) 3. Snap-placing struts in the VAB actually snaps on the second part now. Really struts are just way less glitchy 4. Windows! 5. When I ram my kerbal into the rocket it makes a loud thunk sound Really there's a bunch of dope excrements that shows they put a lot of care into it. All of the small-scale stuff seems more in-depth. I also have a list of complaints lol

Graphics Card Requirements/Limits for KSP2
Coin replied to TruffleSpy's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Dammit! It's my first Nvidia card, because the 3050 on sale WAS a steal (DLSS with the 3050 is enough to run all games on high in my experience) but it's looking like I should've shelled out the cash for a 3060. But who would've expected KSP2 to be the most demanding game of our time? lmao -
Graphics Card Requirements/Limits for KSP2
Coin replied to TruffleSpy's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
So... you guys thinking a RTX 3050 is close enough to the 2060? I know it's newer, but most benchmark sites say it's still worse than the 2060. -
KSP2 with years of mods will probably be crazy. Assuming that it (hopefully) has more stable performance + less insane load times, once it gets mods like EVE, AVP, Parallax it'll be a no-brainer choice for me. Sorry KSP but a 1 minute wait every time I switch buildings has gotten old in the past 8 years lol
-
I'm with ya, I played KSP for years without any mods (except for chatterer), but things like Parallax and AVP were reinvigorating. KSP already had soul, but seeing the beauty of the planets and muns makes it A++! KSP 2 already appears to be quite a looker, so I can't complain! But really all I've ever desired is atmosphere, clouds, weather, and FPS that stays decent past a hundred parts. It's a wet dream lol

Took forever to find but it's the latter half of this video from 1 year ago It looks grainy too, but still a lot better than the 'new' ones! Different style than EVE's, they both look great.
-
I have seen much better in-game clouds on this forum though, one of the devs posted a video of a kerbal free-falling with very good looking clouds in the background. Better than the upcoming EVE update, I'd dare say. It looked like it was 15FPS though. so perhaps that's why there's been an apparent downgrade.
