It will be no later than Friday. I don't have an official time just yet.
-
I wanted to hop in here to say that most of the stuff the players are asking for will be addressed soon. Now I know in the past soon has been treated as a "sure three months" but this time I am working as fast as I can with team to get the asks you all have addressed.
I know the speed is not what is being asked, but next week we will have some news to share with more to come in the following weeks. We don't want everyone to get tiny bits of information and we're working to deliver more as quick as possible.
On that note I just ask to be patient just a little while longer.

Development of KSP2 is full speed ahead.
I can't speak to any of the reported news, but the team here is working hard on the next update as well as colonies.

Just to clarify do you mean feedback about the game or feedback about communication between development and the community? Just a little hard to tell based on the last couple posts before yours vs. the majority of the thread
Ah, I am looking at a bit of both, but my main focus is on communication between development and community. Dakota and I both have our ideas, but this year I am working on being a better listener and I want the feedback from all players.
-
Just wanted to jump in real quick and say thank you to those who have provided feedback from here and all other social platforms. I'm working with Dakota on prioritizing this feedback and seeing what we can come up with.

I will get through it! I'm 2 episodes in and I love it so far

Since it seems fairly obvious that the powers that be making KSP2 are only paying us lip-service by saying they want our suggestions, I figured I'd open a thread so that players can have their suggestions actually listened to and discussed, and hopefully we can get some modders in here to make your suggestions happen!
Unfortunately, I have some errands to run, but when I get back, I'll get the ball rolling with some of my suggestions.
Have a great day everyone, and try not to lose too much hope regarding KSP2 development, we can still make OUR game!
Also, I have a video coming up on my channel where I have a reply to Nate's recent interview.

No lip service. I'll check back in here later I know myself and the team would love to hear from everyone.

Thank you everyone for all the feedback and comments.
Also thank you @Dakotafor getting these all fixed up so quick.

I'm happy to see the success of the show and I can't wait to watch.
Trying too carve out some time this weekend to get some episodes in.

Hopefully nothing bad related to the twins (or 'Mom')
!
I sure know my Christmas was 'anything but Merry' (and was glad for the extra week off that my workplace offered me)
Thank you so much it is getting better so I can turn my attention to the KSP community while I'm working and not worrying off to the side

A lot has been made of the development teams (coders, artists, etc.) not having anything to do with communicating with the community, and I'll say up front that I agree with that statement. No, I do not want the developers to sit around and talk on the forums or Discord all day long; they have a game to write, for pete's sake. I'd rather they spend their time on the clock coding, or drawing, or whatever it is they need to do to get the game done. Go. Please.
With that said, it is the job of the Community Managers to interact and engage with the community. As far as EA goes, it should be their job to engage with us and let us know exactly what is happening with the development of the game. Yes, this involves interviewing the developers, and compiling lists of bugs, and all the other stuff that goes along with that. But it is their literal job to interact with the community, and the issue here is that instead of the CM's doing this, they are worrying about things that the community quite frankly as a whole doesn't care about. This leads me to believe that one of the following 2 situations is true:
- The CM's are understaffed and overworked to the point where they simply cannot interact in meaningful ways. Dakota is on his own right now as Mike is off on paternity leave (and coming back this month, I think?), and the organization either hired but has not trained the new person they posted for months ago OR they simply decided not to do it. And this is on top of all of the vacation and time off that was taken over the holidays. If this is the case, if it is a situation where Dakota simply does not have the time to effectively do his job and interact with the community in thoughtful and meaningful ways, then I have to ask why he has the time to come up with weekly challenges and joke threads. I get that those things may be part of his job, but we have begged for more meaningful communication and have not gotten it. Does he not have time to ask the developers where they are at? Do the CM's not have the ability or authority to ask the artists what they have drawn up lately? Has Nate decided that he doesn't need to give interviews to the CM's or host AMA's any longer? And if this is all the case, why hasn't the company hired more CM's to help alleviate the strain on Dakota? It's either this, or...
Hey, I don't have any big news or giant updates to add to this, but I am back as of yesterday. I have a lot of catching up to do and I'll be working very closely with the team to deliver the best possible experience for the players. Dakota was by himself for the last 5 months as I had twins and I wasn't able to return early due to unforeseen circumstances, but I am back and I'll do my best to be more active here and on other social platforms as well with Dakota.

Yeah, I don't do pumpkins. I love Halloween, but pumpkins aren't my thing. In fact, I'm about as good with a carving knife as a slug is with their hands.
Same. Last time I caught my hand so I tend to just paint now lol

And just for clarity's sake, this statement isn't related to the statement Mike made on the discord about having something coming soon to give updates on, right?
I'll hop in and say it isn't related. We do have some other informative pieces "coming soon, actually soon" were my words on Discord
