  1. Thank you both for the clarification! Excited to finally be able to change youtube videos without my game minimizing and taking a few seconds to come back!
  2. Im a little confused, are you saying that this is a solution to my problem? And if so are you saying that it does work or that it used to work but is now broken?
  3. Reported Version: v0.1.3 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Threadripper Pro | GPU: TUFF 4090 | RAM: 128 gb Borderless mode and Fullscreen mode both work the same but I was under the impression that you can move your mouse to another window in Borderless mode.
  4. I mean yes but I wasn't trying to flex or anything lol Just on the higher end of systems. I bought it for work so it isn't meant solely for games but I haven't had any games have problems with it and it runs faster than most CPU's even in single core tests for rendering 3D graphics. As for out performing in games, I believe it heavily depends on the game in question and the resources. Regardless tho, figured I'd throw my specs into the speculation in case anyone wanted to verify the claim especially considering my GPU and RAM which is way more in the wheelhouse of what this game uses most of anyways.

  6. That’s a lot of fixes! Idk how much it will affect my specific gameplay but hopefully with these out of the way we can start seeing more content! Excited to try it out finally!
  7. I’ve got a 4090 and a threadripper and 120 gb of RAM and I get about 30-40 frames on average at 4K and dip down to 10-16 at launch depending on the rocket. Not saying it’s good or bad, just throwing out some info
  8. I agree I’d like to see more scenery however I don’t believe it’s THAT imperative to the game, nor do I think graphics are a MAIN focus for the game. At the moment, I just want a playable game regardless of looks.
  9. Personally, no it wouldn’t. Point proven :p I greatly apologize for confusing, I derived it from reading temperatures in KSP1 and thermodynamics are the only thing I can think of for a temperature reading to be useful ❤️ I cannot, that post was a lot to read and quite frankly I have expended all the energy I have for this topic. I put my two cents in for the devs to see other players perspectives, not to debate online with another player. To each their own is where I chalk this up to
  10. I meant things like magnetic fields, radiation, and thermodynamics are a bit advanced for most humans so it doesn't seem like a great thing to make a game made for humans <3
  11. I respectfully disagree and believe that would make the game really daunting for new players and tedious for experienced players. I personally don’t have a problem with getting science points over actual information unless the information was just that, information, similar to the last game where they told you the temp and that was it I think having to learn and understand different real world topics that have entire careers built off them is a bit much for a game about flying rockets (which is arguable hard enough for some). For instance, I know nothing about magnetic fields other than positive and negative and very little about thermodynamics and even less about radiation and the different kinds and I think making a mission where you have to pay attention to all of those in addition to everything we already need to is a bit extreme and should probably be saved for an “extreme difficulty” option if it’s implemented otherwise I’d vote against it This is not how I feel and this poster does not speak for me While the at may be true, it’s impossible to say for sure that that exact but is the reason people aren’t playing. For me, I haven’t played in weeks due to the lack of content and other various bugs, however this specific bug is actually not the reason. Additionally I think many players, if not a hefty majority, will be opening the game after major patches when bugs like this are fixed rather than paying $50 to completely abandon the game for one specific bug
  12. I think this is tough in a game since after doing the experiments once in a human lifetime, you forever know the values anyways so I think the tech tree is an analog for learning new science that allows kerbals to make better tech. Not to mention that in space there really aren’t any numbers that would be beneficial to anything in KSP. Radiation isn’t a thing, temperature doesn’t affect anything unless it gets too hot which doesn’t happen in space unless close to a sun, and magnetic fields aren’t in the game. I think it would be cool to have telescopes able to search the sky’s for distant stars to travel but that just seems like a time gate for players to have to wait for in order to continue playing which isn’t good game development in my opinion. I think the reason is because that’s a quick and dirty solution that doesn’t solve the critical underlying issue. While it could work for parts we have now, it can create issues down the road as well as cause unintended issues with other mechanics.
  13. I'm glad to hear a final decision on this being made public, definitely keeping up the transparency! Thank you for that! The 2 day extension is a lot better than I expected tbh and I am very excited to check out these changes! I also wouldn't mind if rockets got wobbly at a certain height or a certain amount of the same size pieces in a row. I know that could be tricky to implement but thought I'd put in my two cents <3 Other than that I very much like the goals put in place for the expected gameplay experience and the new science parts sound really awesome!
  14. Very glad to see the transparency has been staying steady, as well as bug fixes! Gotta admit that I'm not too thrilled at the current cadence/schedule but I'm hoping that gets faster over time. But in the mean time I'm very excited for the next patch! I think it's important to remember that it's also an approximation of real life. creating a procedural mesh is a LOT simpler than a procedural rigged mesh with bones and paint weights and if you wanted to do with with blend modes it's also difficult when bringing procedural parts into play. Bending things in games dynamically is not as simple as you may think it is. And even if they did figure that out, is it worth the resources on the computer to calculate the bend depending on the forces? I personally don't believe so and I think that their direction, considering the falling off is a bug, is a great medium to strike when it comes to game vs real life.
  15. Love these new updates! Thank you for taking our criticism and following through <3
  16. This!! I totally agree. I do understand there will be those who clip that statement and say “they’ve been working on it for x time and it’s still not done” but I truly believe that’s a minority AND it’s possible that they could be right and maybe it’s time to find a new person to tackle the issue or a new work around. But regardless, I only see positives for going this route as a whole.
  17. I do believe he said these aren’t ALL the bugs, just too 10. Tbh I feel like this was totally adequate and for things like you mentioned, it might just have to be something we wait on. I’ve been pretty upset with the devs up until today as well but this update did a lot more for me and it sounds like everyone else than any of the other updates and I think, especially this time, we should take what we got and be happy with it. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion but I think it’s important to remember that nothing will ever be perfect for you, but could be good for all
  18. This is great, thank you so much for listening to us. Tbh I almost didn’t even look for an update today and was planning on waiting a few months but low and behold, the KSP Twitter showed up in my feed to a nice surprise! This definitely rekindled my hope.
  19. This has been the most down to earth and truthful statement from the devs so far and I really appreciate it. I’m glad you’re aware the game is not in an acceptable state and that regardless of the content, each post here is expressing their love for the game in different ways. This is much more along the communication I expected and hope to have more of this in the future.
  20. Honestly LinkedIn is way more credible than “social media”, especially in the game dev world. We take our LinkedIn very seriously and use it to apply for jobs. It’s not something people lie on
  21. Another friendly reminder that traction shouldn’t be the metric of good or bad topics, but more so the content of the comments. Personally I didn’t comment on the dev diaries but I always read and appreciated them ❤️ especially because I’m interested in game dev and computer science. However there’s no evidence of that partly because back when they put them out, I didn’t have an account and also because I had nothing to add, just internal excitement
  22. Idk about anyone else but the first description you gave of what the game is going to be sounds awesome personally. KSP mixed with Satisfactory? Let’s goooooooo! And the gameplay loop you mentioned sounds like a lot of fun! I truly hope the game makes it to that point one day
  23. Oh wow, I just watched the video and I had no idea there was so much going on behind the scenes. UG to ST and all the games they released in buggy, unfinished states just to abandon with the same exact communication we are getting now? I sure hope this game is different and I really wish I didn’t feel so lied to by Nate every time I honestly had a way different opinion on what Nate said until I was reminded about everything else he’s said and how little of it ended up being true. It may be true to his desires, but I don’t believe it reflects reality and is more meant to subdue us.
