If you are having a hard time searching within Reddit then simply Google "Reddit "whatever your question is". Why create a new forum that cost money and time when Google is right there and free? As for the loss of the forum and player count.... KSP2 pretty much killed that already. There is nothing this forum or any other new forum can offer that isn't already out there.

Posting this from another reply I made to a different post: I never understood the want or need for a forum backup. The only outcry from a few folks about the forum going away was the loss of mod content. Why? Every bit of that content is hosted or duplicated elsewhere like Github or a few other mod sites. Reddit has subs dedicated to KSP modding among other things. If modders want an outlet for their work there are already options available to them. It doesn't need to be this or some other forum-like site. Reddit is free, less hassle making a sub as apposed to a new website. I looked at the active user count here and on the KSP main Reddit sub. The counts were pretty much equal. It certainly isn't a stretch to say that if this forum callaped tomorrow, folks would simply utilize KSP resources elsewhere. I see no need for a new forum.

Noticed at 1:27 pm EST I was getting 502/503 errors as usual. After 10 minutes of retrying I gave up. At 1:52 the page was loading again.

The vast majority of those pipes and equipment were for sensors. After years of gathering data they understand the design and performance characteristics and the vast majority of that sensing equipment isn't necessary and due to the weight loss your rocket can now carry more payload.

I seem to recall a post....I believe on YouTube very soon after T2 illuded to IG shutting down. He said he already had orbital mechanics worked out and it was just math...and very easy. I asked him to show a demo of these mechanics...nothing. I've read other statements and replies from him on reddit that just oozed arrogance to a degree and a touch of used car salesmen much like Nick. I simply don't trust the guy. The fact that he swooped in on reddit to try and poach IG devs just hours after the layoffs were announced is just another sign of his character.
-
I absolutely agree. I'm just saying it can be tough to dodge a lawsuit no matter how stupid the suit is. T2 isn't exactly the Mother Teresa of game companies.
-
They own everything that is KSP. If someone were to put out a similar type game with characters that even remotely resemble kerbals T2 would sue their pants off. Doesn't matter if T2 was wrong, a small developer would buckle under the legal costs to defend themselves. It would be a stupid move to even try such a project.

I see no reason to be concerned. He knows full well what it will take resource and talent wise.
-
I don't doubt HarvesteR's abilities to pull off another space sim, but KSP has those little green gimmicks. Those little guys are a big reason KSP was a success. If he plans on trying to work those types of characters into a new game he may have a tough time walking that IP infringing tightrope with Take2.

Look at the last post dates and times in the KSP2 modding subs. Now look at the dates and times in the KSP1 subs. Now look at the post dates of NEW mod releases for KSP2. Months ago. Not even Spacedock has anything new when it come to KSP2. Even Blackrack has gone back to 1. Right now it's a waste of space and mod time to keep those subs around. Time to roll up the red carpet, put it in storage, and if the KSP2 modders want to continue then they can petition the mods here. Edit: Considering all the 502/503 Gateway errors I see trying to navigate this forum...it's pretty safe to say that not even the forum itself is immune from deletion.

Wonder what happen to original KSP after KSP2 failure?
calabus2 replied to Pawelk198604's topic in KSP1 Discussion
It's humming along nicely. If you look at the KSP official Reddit community it's very much alive and well. -
Then take your toys and go home.
-
Yep i quoted the wrong person. Thanks for pointing it out.
-
Edit: Quoted the wrong person here. SORRY! Bej is reinforcing by argument
-
True, but if someone is going to make a stemement as fact and provide zero evidence of it, then I have no faith in their claim. If the pictures are on some other site then share them here. I shouldn't need to go hunt for them. You made the claim...now provide the evidence to back it up,

Nope. Dakota hasn't been employed at IG or, as far as I know, at PD for months. I don't care what his LinkedIn says (which says he is OPEN TO WORK). Show me recent photos of the team hard at work. Show me screenshots WITH DATES they were posted and by whom they were posted.
-
Where? Post a link to the pics.
-
Correct. And there was a single mod here that facilitated the culture of "be positive or be gone". I even commented months ago that if the devs and Nate wanted real feedback they should engage the reddit sub instead of this corporate controlled forum. Dead silence and a temp ban
-
And this folks is the reason why the community engagement here dropped significantly after EA. "If you don't have anything nice to say about the studio or the devs, then your criticism doesn't matter. You're just a hater and a shill." There are just as many toxic supporters in this community as there are those that question the decisions of the studio and the developer.
-
No. Quit hitching your bandwagon onto these kind of posts. You are simply getting played by marketing.
-
I would be absolutely shocked if they give this to a third studio. Just my opinion, but I think they are just going to squat on the IP and never do anything with with it.
-
That's some pretty wild speculation.
-
This. Why the hell would anyone trust a publisher that has had ZERO communication with the community they sold this steaming pile to? If they had a plan to resurrect this turd then they would have announced it the same week they put in the WARN notice for IG. It's dead Jim.
-
KSP2 is NOT bad, and it should not be canceled.
calabus2 replied to EndeavourCmdr's topic in KSP2 Discussion
Maybe you missed the memo, but IG doesn't exist anymore. Take2 saw the sales numbers, the millions they dumped into a studio that produced garbage at launch and said "nah....we're out". Is Take2 willing to try again with a dev team up to the task? Who knows. Just like everything with Take2 and IG the communication has been complete $hit. If they had solid plans in place to make that happen it would have been announced already. This is why you don't buy into EA titles with as many red flags we saw prior to launch.
