  1. [quote name='Majorjim']That is all I want to do. Is show how to improve them massively. I have a video here showing the issue with the turrets. The last tank, the Panther has a turret bearing made by Jon144 and is clearly shown working. [URL]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGm8b68aG1E[/URL] I will say, they all drive fine with care and with the turrets attached but all of them except Jon144s wobble around and can pop out when driving around detached. Zekes, by removing the broken turret mechanism you can massively reduce the part counts, along with the no offset limit mod. That or just replace all the broken turrets with Jon144s working turret bearing. I love the look of these tanks Zekes. Oh I tested the two launchers you have and they both worked as advertised. The 1000t launcher has 5 center engines that cut out after a few seconds. Given the sheer size and power of the launcher it probably makes little to no difference. MJ[/QUOTE] Oh i know the problem, The turrets are getting stuck on the body so you have to wobble the turrets to rotate them. I should go back and change the bearing, Jon144 is way better with it. I might hit him up about that. Sorry about yesterday I'm very flustered and rather confused in life, that shouldn't carry over here. It'll be a massive project but I'll work on updating most of the craft, I've updated the Panther (check it out now, DL should be new)
  2. [quote name='Majorjim']It doesn't. Neither does the [B]M26-Pershing[/B] or the [B]BT-7 [/B]or the [B]IS-4D[/B].. Zekes, seriously I tried them, they broke themselves. They should be fixed and if you use the no offset mod you can massively reduce the part counts. You wont need all those cubic struts and other 'connect to' parts.[/QUOTE] I literally just built the BT-7, it works fine along with the other two for me.
  3. [quote name='Cupcake...']So which of your craft still work? It'll be worth letting people know on the OP. Cupcake...[/QUOTE] All the craft in the OP work, Notice the Shermans aren't in the list there.
  4. [quote name='Azimech']Z-fighting ... is that the visual distortion you get when two identical parts overlap? And I've got a lot of respect for your replica's, Zeke. They look top notch. I'm more inclined to a more practical approach and thus my tanks look dull compared to yours.[/QUOTE] I go for looks over Part count, I could make them with less but I've never been good with managing parts. My least part- tanks are probably the M4 Sherman and the M10 Achillies. [s]The M4 is probably your best bet [/s] Wait I forgot the turret broke, I have to go fix it. 5. [video=youtube;dx6ICs897Eo]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dx6ICs897Eo[/video] Well, I just did a thing.

  7. [quote name='Majorjim']Ok just did, [I][U][B]Panther 144[/B][/U][/I] Another lovely looker! And the first one with a working turret! Good job Jon144! There is some ugly Z-fighting along the sides of the tank that would be very easy to remove with the offset tools. And there are exposed struts. Zekes you can offset the first part of the strut that you place, too hide them. The tank among others needs an update. the hard points are different now. [/QUOTE] Yeah, that's the one we put a lot of work into making the turret work right. Also the Sherman's turret was borked by new structural attachment changes.
  8. I've got two new craft ready to go. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/TbraExi.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]https://i.imgur.com/beFweZj.jpg[/IMG]
  9. Thanks guys! I have no idea how many craft will carry over after the RB forum is deleted, a lot of links might break.
  10. My personal craft repository. -CRAFT- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  11. My old (now locked) Zokesia Skunkworks thread is still growing in views, so I guess It's not completely worthless....
  12. [quote name='Robotengineer']I'm in the "save zekes' thread" camp. I would also support moving other high quality craft makers threads to the SCE. I would not move the predominantly RP based threads from the RB sub to the SCE.[/QUOTE] Aww, thank you :3
  13. I see that too, RB should die, it's been dying anyway. But to have it just deleted isn't right. Archived for progeny is really all I want. But I realize i sound selfish and emotional over what some people don't even consider to be relevant. I'm sorry. I forget that when I release craft they see me more than my company. I guess I am delusional.
  14. Maybe I am being emotional about this, I'll be sensible and stay.
  15. [quote name='stibbons']I don't have an RB thread. :) And was asking if there was a simpler way to do that for a large number of a posts, just in case. Was hoping for, say, a BB code export, but can make do with just saving the pages. Thanks.[/QUOTE] Well my problem is I have a 250 page thread with all my craft releases, descriptions, developments, on it. And i have a 390 page thread that got locked that has all my old craft time-capsuled away that I still go back to and download and update occasionally. If this goes away I lose all my old data because it's pretty much gone on my PC (or at least the old screenshots are, I started Zokesia before I got my new computer).
  16. [quote name='KasperVld'] Reputation and posts counts will transfer regardless of the existence of the forum after the transfer. Given all the reactions here, I'll look to see if we can't temporarily keep the Rocket Builders forum available as an (invisible) archive with a link posting in the Spacecraft Exchange to soften the change a bit - but this is dependent on such functionality being available. [/QUOTE] Even just an archive would be allright. Or if we could pull a select few threads off and put them in Spacecraft exchange, like the craft compilation, SSI, KMC, Zokesia, and a few of the really old ones.
  17. [quote name='sgt_flyer']It's keeping the replies that are the problem. A thread like this one was built upon the replies - simply copying the OP is nowhere near enough :) (And the company RP argument can't be held against this one...) [URL]http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/34125-Rocket-Builders-OKB-1-Russian-Rocket-Design-Firm-and-Repository[/URL][/QUOTE] Exactly, stuff like this thread would be so missed.
  18. [quote name='daniel l.']I think i saved you all guys! :D i created a independent forum for you all to use for the roleplay stuff. [URL]http://rocketbuilderz.weebly.com/[/URL] Now let the exodus of desperate KSP companies begin! ;)[/QUOTE] That's not the point, we can easily rebuild in Spaceplane hangar, the problem is they want to straight up delete our old work. All our past threads, gone.
  19. [quote name='SpaceplaneAddict']By the way, an extension to what I said. Your argument of "The whole section goes against the rules" is really one of the weakest I've seen. Go through the forums yourselves, if your so inclined. Point me out three MAJOR arguments that occurred in one thread alone. We all know the main reason for forbidden RPing. Fights and arguements. But really, while, it was roleplay at a basic level, it was a treasure trove of knowledge, and happiness. Some people have probably made accounts for the Rocket Builders subforum alone. [/QUOTE] Well, for some people it's roleplay. But personally I took it very seriously, I wasn't pretending to be a CEO, I acted like a CEO, Which involved lots of hours put in and decisions to be made. And some places like Kerbal Minds Corp are places that I see unbelievable amounts of community interaction. Basically, we might be okay with closing RB. After all, some of it does occasionally fall into RP. But deleting it entirely? You're erasing history.
  20. [quote name='ZooNamedGames']Biggest issue is that it's several years of hard work being removed. What will most of the BIGGEST members of the community (and check that, I know at least 5 extremely highly repped members who started in the RB section) move onto? The RB carried a lot of their dedication and hard work. Great way to repay their dedication to the community. [/QUOTE] very true. We may not get out a lot but that's because we keep our noses to the grindstone to make good stuff for our friends and fans. [quote name='Svm420']Honestly reading more of this thread I see now how some take it way [B]TOO[/B] seriously, and where that would create problems. WOW [/QUOTE] Well, if you spent 2-4 hours a day every day for three years working on a company like I have, you wouldn't think it was too serious.
  21. [quote name='ZooNamedGames']You definately described me there. The KMC is the reason why I'm even 1% of the person I am. I have dedicated days and night to making a great place to create and share crafts at, as well as discuss rocket related topics and make it look good. I'm not even joking when I say, that the KMC within the RB may have kept me alive.[/QUOTE] Partially true for me and some other people I knew. Back when me and Sbowyer had that big fight and we both got our companies locked, he said he was literally crying, not for his company, but for mine. Sure we both messed up a lot and I feel a lot of the hate towards RB is because of that fight but truth is it meant a lot to both of us and it means a lot to other people now too.
