I believe Nova said it was an accident. He only meant to pass the Desert planet. -

Speaking of Nova's mods, "BACE CO. Side mount adapter" or similar as a stock part would be handy. Its the only thing I've found that lets me easily mount parts perpendicular to the craft. -

Its from Probodobodyne, a mod NOVA did about 6-8 months ago I think? -
That was a joke...
-
That's actually a bug in the code, you see the game engine is counting the genetic code of each kerbin used to clone Edler as an individual person in the crew count. What would be more interesting is "can you EVA them all!?"

Yay just landed on the MUN! Just landed a craft with 19 seats I mean. In this picture the rover used to be attached to the top of the craft. The reason I did this is because for some reason the small 'Spare Pod' rovers cant use RCS. I admit I had to cheat to get the huge one in the into position. The lag shield was just too strong for me to land anything nearby without some hanky panky. The one in the front was my first .16 landing, I always build a little big
-
Also keep in mind tanks change weight depending on fuel remaining. So to avoid this mount the shuttle on the top/front(if you havent already) rather than the side of the lift rocket like "the" shuttle.

My typical rescue lander has 5 3man capsules(empty pod mod). My largest lander had 5 3man pods and 4 1man pods(attached to carts) 5 3m small engines, in other words seating for 19 kerbals... It wasn't even difficult to land, plenty of fuel too. I'm at work so I can't post screenshots

In .16 the sun has a surface and does not generate "heat". Make indestructible parts and its sort of possible. Though the only landing I've heard of just bounced endlessly, at super high speed, after landing way too hard... -

4 Rocky planets, then gas giant. Consider it a parody of our solar system. -

At that gravity I'm fairly sure RCS would work. Also in regards to the electric prop, this seems to be the only realistic way to implement space planes in other atmospheres(unless you use rocket engines), but who says we have to be realistic. I say cheat a bit. -

Agreed brighter is better IMO. -

I'm guessing no, unless you ignore the gravity weirdness and just make a point somewhere near the center the point from where gravity is calculated. -

That blue moon has some serious surface reflection going on, kinda like an ocean...!? A water planet would be awesome. -

It was the death of the Space Kraken... The Probe hit it at .1 light speed. -
Thats not the Kraken we are talking about, though it was a bug. The Kraken is an unexplained wobble that simply can't be controlled. Read novas description etc... What you saw/didn't see was Cthulhu.

Why is nobody speculating on the scenarios? You could make some interesting ones, like the challenges. Either they could be like milestone challenges such as, "Launch something and land without any negligent homicide". Or this could be a way of starting mid mission, "you are now in such and such an orbit, rendezvous with another craft without hitting any moons planets or other objects at kraken speeds". Or challenges "collide two craft at 3Kms total speed... it'll be awesome" "EVA jeb 4 different objects" Amusing side note, there should be a message that pops up at certain speeds "Kraken Drive ENGAGED" or "The Kraken wakes from its slumber"something... -

Docking will be incredibly difficult to implement. As a developer I have at least some idea... To be honest I would not implement it at all, just add a method of transfering fuel to nearby craft. Also to those suggesting docking, have you tried it? How about with large vessels... -
Really... Really... I don't know what to think.

Pick up a Minmus passenger using an orbital craft.

Damn I wish I had screenshots of this... I had a kerbal in a 2200 meter orbit of the mun(EDIT: yes just barely missing the hills), rendezvoused with him in a rescue vehicle and returned him to kerbal. It is at least possible. -
Terrified Kerbals are a sign of a good design in my book.
-
That looks like a wedding cake... Also I think it needs MOAR BOOSTERS!
-
Understood, I realize that using the thick atmosphere for a power landing/Chute landing makes things easier, but since there are no kerbal sized objects to perform this landing on(other than Kerbal) I made the challenge easier out of expediency. Edit: Not sure if I understood...
