People, please knock off the hysteria about Squad supposedly running into financial difficulties. 1) They're not. 2) Changing version numbers won't make money magically rain from the heavens.

" You get updates, new versions, and expansions, if they make any, which they're not obligated to do, and that includes any "completed" version, however one might define that. Seriously people, read those terms, and understand them, before you go around claiming what you are and are not entitled to. Anyway, I won't keep repeating the point. Take it up with a lawyer if you're still not getting it.

No, you aren't. That was made explicitly clear in the purchase terms. "Access to the software in its current state... Squad is not under any obligation to release any updates... Each release may very well be the last one... The Software is made available as is... "

You've already gotten exactly what you agreed to buy with the purchase terms you clicked upon when you got the game. We'd all like more than that (and we've gotten more than that), but don't make the mistake of claiming that you are entitled to something more.

If the thread is intended to be a discussion of including player ships in stock, it should have been posted in Suggestions. But since you posted a ship, others would want to post theirs as well, so it's going to end up in Exchange either way.

There were quite a few versions numbered 1 to 25, with the traditional decimal stuck in front to indicate that they came before the symbollic 1.0. (There was also the ARM parts version, which didn't have a number, and has been nicknamed 0.23.5 to indicate its place in the series.) When they thought they were ready to indicate that most features were implemented, they skipped to 0.90 as gesture, again symbollic, that the game was nearing completion. Now they feel that the game has reached a state at which it can be designated 1.0, and so that's how they've numbered it. It's all arbitrary, it's all symbollic, and that's all there is to the story. And now, since the question has been answered and this threatens to turn into a repeat of discussions in other threads, let's move along, shall we?

This thread is neither a discussion nor a suggestion, but simply a complaint, and that is not constructive and helps no one. If you have specific issues to bring up, start a thread that actually discusses an aspect of the game, and be prepared to say what you would like Squad to do differently. Or better yet, add to one of the existing threads, but again, be specific and have a point to make. Otherwise, these generalized grumpiness threads go nowhere and just give rise to arguments.
