This isn't a bad idea, however, this sort of suggestion has been made so many times that additional celestial objects has been placed on our list of things not to suggest again because they've been discussed to death for the moment. Squad may add other objects later, but they're concentrating on different aspects of the game right now. So for the moment, this thread will be closed.

I tried to land on Ike with a ship that only had landing legs on the side that faced the VAB camera.

If you have parachutes, it is quite easy to land on Duna or Eve. It is, however, quite difficult to return from Eve. Without parachutes, you can still reach the moons of those planets, Gilly and Ike. Both planetary systems allow for aerobraking, which saves fuel.
