Wow, you managed to make it aesthetically pleasing and practical... Bravo! I'd like to see what our awesome modding community can do with this.
-
Darn, it looks like I'm late to the party... I keep forgetting to check this section. The most interesting mods seem to always be here, and never actually released properly. So, I don't understand what's been going on for the past 42 pages. Why is Kragrathea showcasing those two planets? I wish I had the attention span to read through all 42 pages of this thread, but I just don't...
-
I plan to finally showcase some of my stuff which I'm actually quite proud of after I get some new hardware, if that makes anything better.
-
Well, folks, there you have it. The first video ever of KSP. Now there are probably thousands.
-
Perhaps a discussion in the development section. I agree, though, a lot of stuff doesn't belong here. I even made a thread about it.
-
Unfortunately, it might be a little late, because we already know of all the current planets. But there are still more to come if Squad wants to make it that you must discover them first somehow before being able to see it on the map screen.
-
Hehe, I remember that one. But still doesn't beat the current record of the 13th.

New to rocketry in KSP? It's a little different from conventional rocketry, but here's a small pie-chart to get you started:

I've been wondering, what was the first video of KSP? The was from July 13th, 2011. Has anyone found anything older than that?By the way, I decided to post this in General Discussion, because How-To is more for gameplay tips, and this doesn't really fit into that category, nor would it really belong there, I don't think.
-
It is most definitely... I don't really play many games, although I'd like to, but KSP is pretty much the only game I play.
-
Here ya' go! It's definitely not on par with some of the mind blowing creations we see in the spacecraft exchange, but it looks pretty close. https://www.dropbox.com/s/imfkkvnnetj24eo/Cloud%20Atlas%20Plane.craft And the one from the movie: All stock parts, too. Hope you like it. P.S: It can stall pretty easily. You can try and see if you can fix that yourself, but as long as you're careful, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. EDIT: Forgot to add a picture.

Alright alright, I'll give it a go.

Unlock the steam badge

Don't have KSP on Steam, but shouldn't the badges tell you what you need to do to unlock them? -
Constructing a ship on the Mun....
Panichio replied to RedKosmos's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Seems fine with me if that's what you want to do. Just add some small probe cores on the frame and it should be fine until you add the command pod and ASAS later. -
Putting a rover on a lander.

And building them small will help you out a lot! Look at the 'Rover + Skycrane' stock ship and you might be able to learn some useful stuff. -
Going to buy a laptop for KSP. My price limit is about $500. Help please?
Panichio replied to sokid2k's topic in The Lounge
Got one for you for $1 dollar less than your budget! It's the one I'm getting. http://www.costco.com/Acer-Aspire-V3-Laptop%2c-AMD-Quad-Core-A10-4600M-2.3Ghz.product.100056398.html I don't know if Costco ships to Duna, though. -
Kerbal Theme Park - Ferris Wheels

How does it perform when you decouple-- Nevermind. Just saw the debris on the road. -
CES2-12 Antheraea, SSTO with large docking ports
Panichio replied to littlebattler's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
That is sexy and practical. Hooray. I still have only just made it into orbit with one Kerbal with a space plane. There are some things that just aren't compatible with my brain. -
Saw this earlier today. Amazing example of the lift that can be generated with rotors, despite them moving so slowly.

I've been wanting to ask the same sort of thing, but I would probably want to run some newer games on medium settings as well for a price around $600 US (preferably not higher than $600, actually). Currently, I'm leaning towards the Acer Aspire V3-551G-X419 from NewEgg. How do you think my current choice is, everyone? If you don't mind answering another person's question. It's pushing my price restrictions though, so I'm looking for alternate options. Also, I could wait a little bit longer if Haswell is worth it. I can't find any laptops coming out within a month or two with it, though. EDIT: I do really like battery life, which apparently Haswell will help out with. It's my favourite aspect of Apple products, but they are way out of my $600-ish price range.

Sit in the VAB for a few hours whilst crying about losing the ol' VAB, but also drooling at the new one.

When there were still people who thought orbits weren't possible and I was still unaware of what an orbit was and just tried to get as high as possible (even spending an entire day waiting to see how high I would get, but having to quit, not knowing what escape velocity was), Scott Manley came along. That's when I started turning at 10km, and building rockets that were a little smarter. Since then, I've been able to sort of learn myself, but without that kick start from him, I wouldn't be as enthusiastic as I am about this great game, and I wouldn't be keen to learn about space and rockets in real life either. So thank you, Scott!

I think Bill Cosby would sound quite fitting...
