  1. I think "Experienced" Means in-game. So "Given what you know of Laythe and Kerbin, which would you rather live on?" I'd like to live on Laythe.
  2. Jumbo32 config for the Stella Expansion is almost ready. Test this out and tell me what you think. Install Jumbo32, then install Stella Expansion without the Kopernicus Core, then install the Jumbo32 patch for Stella. Here's the download. A bit of caution however. The terrain doesn't look quite right in Jumbo32 with Stella and/or Outer Planets.
  3. Here's the Jumbo32 config for Outer Planets Mod. https://www.dropbox.com/s/47p9gbj99yzg0wv/Jumbo32%20for%20Outer%20Planets%20Mod.zip?dl=0 Includes Kopernicus and KittopiaTech. Overwrite these folders after downloading Outer Planets Mod.
  4. Yeah, Realism Overhaul works PERFECTLY with FASA.
  5. Duna is like an old friend. Kerbals can always count on it to give them a predictable experience, and not too hard to get away from. Eve is like an overly attached girlfriend. Kerbals are just so glad to have landed on the planet in the first place that they're okay with not leaving for a while, and Eve's okay with it too.
  6. Changing the gimbal of the engine is still not okay. That's one thing I shall not be changing my stance about. Some of the other things are eh, but changing something so that it is not actually a stock part anymore is too far. And the model for the Poodle is brilliant. It's the rename I disagree with. Yes, the name is a bit silly, but it's confusing to change it.
  7. I thought I fixed that. Dangit. I'll fix it tomorrow. Probably.
  8. I dun goof'd. You have to delete the Mun and Minmus .obj files in RealSolarSystem/plugins/plugindata, or the Mun appears too small in scaledspace. Will fix this in the next major update.
  9. Eeloo and Moho are interesting to some extent, but Dres is worthless unless you use Jumbo32 or Jumbo5x, where Dres spins very fast.
  10. It's worth noting I've got at LEAST 5 people in agreement. Also in agreement with the fact that the mod is fantastic and wonderful! Poodle rename is still too confusing. If I don't install the FL-T800 tank, then it won't have an orange bulkhead. I like the textures for the most part, they are all improvements.
  11. Okay, so now I've stopped being awestruck by the beauty of the parts (and they really are beautiful), so now I will compile a list of all the people's criticisms, including my own. This all essentially stems out from the fact that it's not really "Stock" anymore. And I don't mean the extra parts. And I don't even mean the models, although there are a few ridiculous changes here. Keep in mind for the most part all of these models are truly great. 1. The Mainsail has lost it's gimbal. Really, why did you do this? This is a gameplay change, and it's a rather bad one at that. No parts should be changed in functionality by this mod, especially without it being mentioned. NO PARTS SHOULD BE CHANGED OTHER THAN THE MODEL. THIS IS THE ONLY THING IN CAPS BECAUSE IT MATTERS THE MOST I've got at least 5 other people who agree with this. 2. You renamed the Poodle. This is just... confusing. It is! This leads to a whole lot of confusion with what to call it to players who do not use the revamp. This definitely needs to be fixed. Adding a new engine called the Poodle only makes this worse. "So I gotta use the poodle" "Wait, that's not a poodle..." "Yeah it is, Ven's revamp is weird." -Discussion between me and a friend. And to be clear, the model for the Service Engine/Poodle is really awesome, but the name change is confusing. At least, we should have no engine named Poodle. One thing which I like to do sometimes when I want to use a silly name in a context of a device or contraption, I add numbers and/or mispell it. My Soy-Juice from the HGR mod is actually called the SoYJu1CE spacecraft. Perhaps Rockomax "P-00D-L3" Liquid Fueled Rocket Motor would sound better. 3. The RT-10's model really doesn't fit. Yes, there are real SRBs with four nozzles, but a Jebediah Kerman Junkyard can o' Boom ought not look like a NASA SRB. It's paint scheme really gives that effect, it looks just like the bottom of the Kerbodyne SRB. I don't like that. So here's what I suggest: Yellow painting and a single nozzle. 4. FL-T800 tank is not stripey anymore. This is pretty minor, but I really do miss my stripey tanks. It doesn't really matter, but the description hasn't even been changed. 5. The Mk1-2 Heatshield from Deadly Re-Entry doesn't fit well at all. And on 1.25m stack, the capsule looks like it's floating above the attachment node. Yes, I know the latter can be fixed with gizmos, but the heatshield just won't look quite right. IIRC, there was a heatshield planned for the Mk1-2 pod, yes? In conclusion, this needs to be more stock. It should really only change the models and maybe add some extra visual-only features. (TextureReplacer reflections and Command Pod windows lights.) Here's a few ways to fix these problems in a way which would make everyone happy. 1. Change the whole mod. This would be the simplest for users, but might not make everyone happy. 2. Create a separate pack which rebalances things under the assumption that it's no longer a true "stock" revamp. This would allow greater changes to parts to be made, rebalances and renamings would be perfectly fine. And all of this said, it's still miles better than stock parts for almost everything.
  12. I've decided to start playing this instead of Jumbo32 for a while, just to see if it's fun.
  13. Instead of flying cars, the more practical thing opening up in the near future is driving cars.
  14. The only Tripropellant there is is *shudders* Hydrogen, Lithium, and Fluorine. They produce the worst chemical ever when burnt, and to keep all the propellants there liquid, you have to have hugely complicated tank design. Not to mention the fact that liquid lithium is essentially a molten metal that will screw up all the electronics. There is an advantage, however. On paper at least, a Tripropellant rocket gets an Isp of 540 seconds. A Tripropellant is NOT what the OP suggests. Intake-Air is not even a propellant irl, (though they are in KSP which is why jet engines are way too effective) - - - Updated - - - You can edit the OP to clarify.
  15. May I suggest not requiring special tranks for the spacecraft? The all-in-one service module seems just a bit too cheaty. Also, while the black on the tanks looks kinda neat, in real life they would overheat way too much from the absorption of solar heat. That's why the
  16. Do they work even better with FAR? I would think the fact that they actually behave as a lifting body (As they should in stock, really) would help a lot.
  17. Will put this to good use. Wait aminute... *sniffs* There's rocket fuel in this coffee. That just cancels out the effects of both. EDIT: Oh, wait, I accidentally rerouted the boozefuel-tanks through the coffee machine. Fixed.
  18. No, because an A4 class has a remarkably different internal boiler/smokebox shape. It's more like a Princess Coronation covering over an A3. Princess Coronation was a normal locomotive underneath, but the A4 class were very strange looking underneath the aerodynamic shell.
  19. Best games: Kerbal Space Program, Space Engine, etc. Worst Games: I don't play enough games to know.
  20. I know PlanetFactory had a custom PQS setting that made planets oblate. Could such a setting be added to RSS? This would certainly make Jumbo32 and Jumbo5x's spinnydres much more authentic looking considering it's emmense spin. Also, can you link Jumbo5x in the main post, NathanKell?
  21. Oh! I remember! From that asteroid thing I did back when PFCE was first released. I remember now. That's fine
  22. Has anyone actually managed to GET to Urlum? The retrograde orbit seems like it would be just waaay too hard. Maybe a heavily inclined orbit would apply here, instead of RETROGRADE.
