I would like you to consider this to be not only an alternate Kerbal space program, but instead an alterate species space program, with it's own planets. I'd be willing to create the planet system for a total conversion, and concept art should it be required. PM me for info if you'd like.

Here's some ideas. Accelerometer gives only basic seismic data, to get more data, you can set it up to measure seismic data with an impactor probe. Thermometer can give different readings at night and day, and shade or light. Barometer can be used even on bodies with no atmosphere, like detecting a thin whisp on Eeloo or LKO. Gravioli detector is good as is. Instead of biomes, situations have science reports. Re-entry at 1000 m/s or more will not make the goo feel cold, for instance. This would make sub-orbital flights yeild less science than orbital flights. Situations must be sustained for some experiments, like materials studies or biological experiments, so you could get more science from being in orbit than suborbital. You could time-warp, fine, but as long as you are IN orbit, it works, and it is not how long it takes that matters, just that you are in space long enough for it to finish.

No, it's random. Freefall seems to be when you are not under a large amount of accelleration, for Kerbals act the same on Hack Gravity kerbin as they do in space or on Gilly.

Most of those points were nit-picking. Replayability is huge. The Art Style is pretty, and you customize your program in the way you build, fly and dream your crafts. Keybind documentation is easy to find, and I hate devil's advocation.

One of the first things I did in KSP was I got a probe core+Mainsail and burned outwards in hopes of finding the outside of the skybox. I left it timewarping overnight, and when I took a comparison screenshot, the skybox did not change.

Actually, just throttle up THEN stage the engines on.

In a vacuum, the large would hit first because it's bigger and the edge would touch the floor first. If instead they were both the same size but different masses, they would hit the ground at the same time as well.
