Um. Maybe you should try the holodeck? 8) Sorry. I don\'t play the game. Never much a fan of star trek. Too much 'We cant apply phelbotinum to that!' 'F*** IT! WE\'LL DO IT LIVE!' *Applies phebotinum to the thing.* 'OH my God we\'re saved!'

Geostationary orbit altitudes

There are no tidal forces in KSP. Planetary bodies are on rails and have spheres of influence. See any number of discussions on patched conics. There are no Lagrange points either. Unfortunately the processing cost of a perfect simulation is too high for a video game. Patched conic\'s are 99% as good though, and allow for Neat Stuff in the future. -
“until there is wider agreement on a solution.†We won a battle. Not a war. SOPA is not dead. It has simply been tabled for now.

He has always been a moderate. Both sides are so extreme he can\'t please both, only annoy both. He might be a great president, but we\'ll never know since the rest of the legislature is so screwed up it effectively hamstrings him from being able to get anything done. As it is, his achievements as president underwhelm me, but I can\'t think of anyone else running I\'d want in charge. I would like to apologize for the MPAA and RIAA which are both American entities. I would also like to apologize for reality TV. It seemed like a good idea at the time. We had no idea we\'d create Snooki and The Situation.

I\'ve always been partial to drum and bass myself. NERO - Welcome to reality is one of the very very few dubstep albums I enjoy. oh yeah, that\'s good in high def with a good subwoofer.

Dance really isn\'t gone. Kids dance to dubstep all the time. The trick is to wait for the drop, then have a seizure. 8)

I think this happened.

Mandatory anti-zombie vaccine gone awry. I didn\'t get injected yet.

#1:Go grocery shopping. Stock up on food gasoline and a generator for power. #2:Load the shotgun with a mix of buckshot and slugs. #3:wait for crisis to end.

The moon rocks were supposed to be given away to museums and schools for the public to see and marvel at. A lot of them instead have ended up in the pockets of politicians. >

Introducing the Flying Squirrel class of space plane. This reusable vehicle is perfect for short LKO hops and precise landings. It even includes VSTOL capabilities on kerbin. Perfect for the Kerbal on the go. (Warning: Excessive use of the VSTOL system will result in running out of fuel) Currently I have released 3 variants of the Flying Squirrel. The Flying Squirrel Sport, which contains only the flying squirrel itself. Enough power for low to mid kerbin orbit. The Flying Squirrel Touring adds a large liquid fuel booster to the base of the flying squirrel to assist in atmospheric escape. This version is ideal for satellite deployment. Finally there is the Flying Squirrel GT4. In addition to the liquid fuel booster, Our engineers have strapped 4 enormous solid boosters to the vehicle. This makes the flying squirrel capable of munar missions. The VSTOL systems on kerbin are powerful enough on the mun to allow for munar VTOL landings. For a peek at a trip to the mun in a Flying Squirrel GT4, check this link.http://imgur.com/a/FreZU/ Craft files are attached. These rockets require Nova Punch 0.8, C7 flight pack 2.16, and the touring requires LanderLeg1.2

It was like standing in the path of a flame trench just far enough back that it doesn\'t set you on fire.
-
did you... put a mun in orbit around the mun?
-
Asleep. They were shamed enough without me saying anything the moment they entered the living room. We\'ll have to air the living room out a few more times and use some more ozium, but nothing was damaged.

So there I was, playing KSP, trying to record a mun landing and return to kerbin with a space plane. Now, my housemates cook all kinds of things that smell funny to me, so i never pay it much mind. I\'m halfway back to kerbin when I smell burning paper. At that moment FRAPs crapped out on me and i decided to take a look out in the living room/ kitchen to see what was going on. I was greeted by grey smoke thicker then a rocket ploom. I rushed over to the stove and discovered that no fire had yet broken out. A pot had boiled off and it\'s contents started burning on the bottom of the pot and smoking. There were red hot embers when I arrived. Grabbed another pot, took the overheated pot outside, and put it somewhere safe to cool. Then i went around opening windows and turning on fans and vents. So much for sleep tonight.

So, I\'ve done a few munar landings now, and wanted to try something different. I always hated how hard it was to land in a particular spot on kerbin after returning from the mun. With a pod you have no real control of where you land. Enter the flying squirrel. The flying squirrel is a multi-purpose, reusable, interatmospheric space plane, capable of reaching Kerbostationary orbit with a payload. It can then deploy that payload and return to Kerbal spaceport to make a unpowered glided landing. With the Addition of a few boosters and struts, The Flying Squirrel is also capable of landing on the mun in a VTOL style, and returning to kerbin. Upon my return to kerbin I discovered Jeb\'s brother Jeb had apparently demolished KSP\'s landing strip. I actually overshot KSP and had to turn around and fly back to land. The flying squirrel landed without any complications anyways. See more of the flying squirrels first successful moon mission here. http://imgur.com/a/FreZU/embed I have included the craft file. You will need the current version of Nova punch, and C7\'s pack. Props to Nova, C7, Sunday Punch (if he\'s out there still) And everyone else who let me make this silly machine.

This is exactly why I power my lights forever off a solar panel. There is no friction. The light from the bulb hits the solar panel and lights up the bulb. You can only power one light per panel this way though, so I guess thats why it hasn\'t caught on. Now that\'s troll physics.
-
OP said discuss. I discussed the problems I saw with his idea. I suppose he could now say 'LOL I TROLL YOU!' but it wouldn\'t be much of a troll. From his forum profile I\'m going to say it was a legitimate question.

What is to hold the generator part of your space craft still while the flywheel has energy put into it or pulled from it. Newtons law is a pain. If you put X amount of energy into spinning up your flywheel, you\'d also put X amount of energy into spinning your habitation module the other direction. (equal, opposite reactions) When you tried to extract energy from the flywheel, it would want to spin up your whole habitation module rather then just spin a dynamo. I\'m not saying it\'s impossible. I\'m not enough of a physicist to say that, but the science I do know says there are some significant problems with the idea. unless you have some way of counteracting newtons laws. (like RCS on the habitation module to counteract its desire to spin when interacting with the flywheel.)

Keep up the good work Caesar. I see a lot of wonderful things coming out of this, even if the creation process involved a ton of manure being sucked through a jet engine. I\'m gonna go looking around in my photo archives and see if I don\'t have some photos of rust and peeling paint you could cut up play with, or use as reference. EDIT: I hope some of these photos give you some inspiration. PM me if you\'d like larger versions of any of them, because believe me I have much larger versions laying around. Lets see here... Some old, salt water corroded pipes! Some carbon covered spark plugs. Rust and peeling paint on part of a crane Gears on a ship And a rusty old rail bridge.
