My first rendezvous in something pre-0.14 when there was no manouver nodes or other fancy indicators. And then lasering the s*** out of the other vessel, because why the hell not! Also abusing cheaty mods and building aircraft SSTOs looking like whales with C7 parts. The times when there was only one type of fuel and jet engines with insane vac ISP...

How come it uses only 6 basic jets? I did the same thing but with NEAR and 6 was clearly not enough for a half-empty MK3 aircraft. I guess they just get nerfed in modded aero. Nice craft. Glad to see someone finally menaged a VTOL SSTO with those parts.

Just playing with the new pilot skills and building a new Antonov-ish plane (the wings even bend the way they should!). It's fun to use the targeting thing to fly in some kind of a loose formation.

I think the 3-man pod needs to be somewhere in the first nodes of the tech tree(or nowhere because I hate it that much), and further we should have smothing Dragon-ish with, let's say, 5 seats?

^Nice, but those are nowhere near stock Mk3s. I actually have an SSTO design using stock mk3 parts. But making it a VTOL using jet engines is going to be some serious hellish experience.

I haven't seen any threads like this so I figured I would create one. So 0.90 came out(yay!), and we got those new heavy plane parts. I wanted to make an SSTO+VTOL MK3 thing. Here's what I came up with: Sadly, this thing doesn't fly very well(to be honest it almost doesn't fly at all!), and that's where the "request" part comes in... I need an SSTO+VTOL MK3 aircraft able to land on islands of Laythe. If anyone could post some pics+dl of their working designs I would happily give rep all over the place. Preferably a FAR/NEAR-compatible one. Just treat it as a showcase thread with DL links.

It was only PorkJet making the parts. He simply didn't have time to make the IVA for it. He did a great job in such a short time anyway. I'm very happy with the update.

So I clicked something during my design process in the SPH and the mirror symmetry changed to the VAB one. What's the shortcut for that? Also there was some other shortcut added in 0.25 making stuff attach only when on nodes. Haven't figured that out either.

Anyone can confirm this mod working in 0.90? EDIT: It doesn't : (

What mods does the plane undercarriage use? Is it only Firespitter? Asking because I use only that, and don't want my GameData to be cluttered with plugins I don't need.

Dinosaurs. I have a rule to not clip full fuel/rcs tanks into each other. But when I remove the oxidiser and want to have some more rcs on board on my VTOL i clip. Seems logical that if you remove half of the content of the tank and it doesnt shrink, then you can put something else in there instead

I think PorkJet could use some of your help in preparing new parts for the next few updates. I sure would be happy to see those triple engines in stock. Would be great for Arado-like crafts.
