Yup. I unfortunately have to agree. Unfortunately because PorkJet hasn't been cloned yet. And overhauling the old parts seems like a lot of work. Also the old wings need to go. Nobody is using them anymore, it seems.

NEAR, because I enjoy designing pretty things and the FAR diagrams confuse me. Never was fancy learning them anyway. And stuff doesn't come apart so easily, so more G's can be pulled before the disassembly.

Challenge accepted. Moreover, I'll make a VTOL one. Will be very useful for setting outposts and bases on Laythe. EDIT: So I just closed in on the pics and it seems the adapters have fuel, which something I'm very happy about.

@GoSlash: 26k? How is that thing so cheap? I assume it doesnt carry any payload?

Here are the two of mine I said I would show the pics of. The crew ferry is a modification of the cargo one and was intended as a space station. But thanks to Steam Shift+Tab it went back into the atmosphere, completing the contract tho. You can clearly see the cost. NEAR+B9 landing gear and airbrakes

So I've been building SSTOs recently, and I started to wonder how much an SSTO can cost? And I mean actually useful SSTOs that can carry a payload to orbit and back. Specify if your game is moded/stock. Mine best costs about 39k without any cargo. And is able to carry a small payload or a crew of 6. With NEAR and some b9 landing gear. It consists of 1 big cargo bay or small bay+crew cabin. I'll post pics if I have time

I'd say Laythe and the next thing that is after it(Vall?). That way you will have the additional speed of the moon if you want to go to the outer ones. I think someone on the forums once said the outer Planets in the solar system are easier to get to because you just add the speeds, or something. I'm no astrophysicist, but it seems logical. -

Oooh! So it's in persistent thing. I was looking for it in settings.cfg. That wouldn't make any sense if I found it there, would it? Thank you very much -
Is there any way to change that? Because I think I my custom hard save is a bit too much. Maybe through some file editing, or something?l

First thing I'm making after 0.90 comes out is something Valkyrie-like from Avatar and sending it to Laythe with a space station and surface base kit

You guys... Better be thankful Squad isn't developing the game like someone in whose game this poster is.

Just got an idea: we could have the main 0.90 release without cargo bays, and when they're finished there could be a much smaller update adding just those in. That way people who dont care about cargo bays would have their release sooner, and people who don't care about the release date would have them a bit later. Of course I don't exactly know if that would break devs workflow or not, so it might be a terrible idea as well

I second that. I can wait for cool stuff a bit longer if I have to. Mk3's don't seem so much fun without cargo bays and landing gear.

I can fly blind as long as what I'm in looks cool! Any ramps planned? If not the tail ramp section maybe an asymmetrical side-extending one?

It is, but since we don't have an actual discussion and suggestion thread, I thought I would ask here.

I hope the mk3 cockpit will look nice to be used on both: the shuttle(SSTO) and for heavy airplane transporters. Something shuttle-like but symmetrical in both axes. My dream is to have one of those massive mk3 SSTO thingies to be sent to Laythe, VTOL onto it's surface, drive the modules out of it's belly and setup a small outpost there. That's all I want.

Any update? Maybe we could see a part or two coming in 0.90?

The lander is getting separated from Rosetta in an hour and will be landing at 17:00 Central Europe Time. At least that's what I heard from the TV.

Depends if you are playing Sandbox or Career. In sanbox you don't have to care about that, but if you want some extra cash you want to re-use your crafts. And SSTOs are great for that. Not much payload, but can perform many science experiments in that bay! Also the "Fine Print" mod gives a whole lot of air recon missions, in which you want to use planes, since they are way easier to fly at a certain altitude. -
Not sure if I understand you correctly, but yeah, the medium wheels are pretty rubbish. You need to either put a lot of ballast, or drive slowly on low-G worlds. Would be great if guys at SQUAD put a slider for suspension softness. Many of my rovers could be fixed that way.

I remember when I found out about the game when it was 0.9. Back then there was no Mac support so I went straight for the Scott's tutorials, and started learning before I could even play the game. When 0.11 came out I downloaded a bunch of OP mods, and started mucking around. I even remember my first rendezvous, with no map indicators, or anything. Was so proud of myself. And then I laser'd the other vessel immediately.

About 15 or 20? But it seems to get lower with every game launch. The more times I launch and quit it the less FPSs I seem to have. I don't know why and I don't like it. I really don't get it. The first time with fresh install everything works fine on medium terrain details, and then after some launches (and I mean game launches, not rocket launches) it starts to drop for no reason. It's not like I have more and more debris scattered around the KSC, or anything. I try to keep it clean.

Can I haz a request, plz? A VTOL mk2-shaped jet engine would be awesome. The f22-looking one OK, Im not sure if its f22, but the vtol fan-thingy would be great.
