Career mode Recovery costs
tetryds replied to Capt Snuggler's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
What about kerbonault recovery to be like "hire a cab". So you pay a small symbolic ammount and recover all crew on the ship. -
Why people think that when squad adds multiplayer you will be forced to play it? It was stated several times that the main point of KSP is the singleplayer, and that the multiplayer will be only an addition to it. Think about GTA5, it has multiplayer but the game is focused on the singleplayer.

Career mode Recovery costs
tetryds replied to Capt Snuggler's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
What about have the option to only rescue the crew when the ship recover cost is too high? So, if you land on a mountain, as suggested above, the costs would be a lot higher, and it will not be worth to recover the ship. But most of people do care about the kerbonaults, and i would deffinitelly rescue my crew, and they will also gain with the trip experience. Distance from KSC, dificult multiplier AND the total landed ship weight should be taken into account. So a small and light probe with lots of expensive equipment is a lot more worth to recover than a fuel tank on the middle of nowhere. -
I agree, its extremelly annoying when suddenly my camera mode changes and spins out. I also belive that the "Chase" camera shouldnt be locked to the center of mass, but have a bit of freedom (like racing games camera). That way it would be usefull at all when piloting rovers and airplanes. As it is now, it's just annoying, and gives no sense of speed.

Not even a hint about it. My country's media don't even know someone ever step on the Moon.
-
I belive only loading scenes and tech tree should have cutscenes. Or only if you make a very huge achievement like land on the mun, it would show a tab with mission complete and a button for a video with the news or something. I don't want a video to popup during my gameplay
-
I meant the improved picture of the lander Because its exactly the same as the one before but more colorful

What DON'T we want in KSP?
tetryds replied to Deathsoul097's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Relativistic physics being added to the game doesn't inflict that FTL drives would be possible, but the exact opposite. -
What DON'T we want in KSP?
tetryds replied to Deathsoul097's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I'm not on the fear that FTL can unbalance the game. But as mentioned above, if i want a FTL game i can just pick one out of 200. KSP prizes for the physics, if not for the balancing factor, FTL must be avoided for the physics sake. Everyone who plays and likes the game knows it, and that kind of travel would break the entire point of the game. Even more as that technology has not even been proven possible, unlike the feasible Orion drive. Just add a new timewarp multiplier to the game and you good to go for an interestellar travel. -
Kessler bombs are easily avoidable by limiting the ammount of ships and debris a player can have. This way, the extra debris would just blow up or be instantly deleted... It's also possible to limit max parts on a ship, to like 1000, not like it's needed anyway. And keep the first few seconds after spawning the ship client side only (it's not like the server suffers if you explode a lot of shapes in a row anyway). And i don't belive someone would create another steam account, and buy KSP again just for the sake of being stupid. Even that way, an IP ban would easily fix it. I have hosted an open ( and "offline") minecraft server for months. I used to ban 6 or 7 hackers every day, and that was still easy to deal with, and could be automated. At KSP its way too hard to grief, and extremelly simple to avoid, simple stuff like limiting per player and overall debris would prevent most of possible attacks. I'm far more worried about DDoS than that, and that's something that does not has to do with KSP.

Docking Port as Airlock & Crew Transfer Function
tetryds replied to acc's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
It would be okay, yet a bit weird to have crew passing into fuel compartiments. A better implementation would be to add "corridors" as fuzelage where the crew can pass through. Like a "fuel crosfeed capable" part, but "crew passage capable". That would have a big impact on how we build our space stations. Also, if we get prebuilt adapters and fuzelage for all metric sizes, a fps IVA movement inside the ship would become possible, which would be not less than epic. -
The rover doesn't have enough energy to transmit the data. The lander also has a SC-9001 Science Jr, so it's easier to garther and transmit other than having to swith to the rover for the Goo Canister. Also, the Goo doesn't give that much science.

Oh, right, my bad.

Ran the server for 8 hours straight yesterday, NOT A SINGLE CRASH NOR SYNC BUG. Congratz, this build is incredibly stable. @Wetmelon: Yes, exactly: "X - In flight. Y - Ascending from Kerbin. Z - Building ". Which would be the player listing already. When i ran minecraft bukkit servers, the chat mixed with log output was very annoying. Separating them, and automatically adding a / to the log view mode (or tab/spot/whatever you find convenient) can be helpfull if "click for command" isn't implemented. Thanks for noting, glad you like the suggestion.

Made in Japan doesn't necessarily means that it's components were manufactured in Japan but that it was at least assembled there. Anyway, I already pay China with all electronics I own. Not clothes because they come from national fabrics, but even my screwdrivers came from China. It would be awesome if they sent a manned mission to the Moon. Chinese engineering is far different from ocidental engineering, their stuff sometimes look a bit weird to us, something like "I doubt that this is gonna work". But the proof that it works and pretty solid is right there, at the Moon. This mission completelly changed my point of view about China.

Why it's so hard to accept that the moon surface is redish? The Apollo which landed at Moon had black&white cameras... And US would surelly be interested in not spreading that it's actually redish for obvious reasons. The surface composition already makes it's color tone very obvious.

What DON'T we want in KSP?
tetryds replied to Deathsoul097's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Why not? If you don't want multiplayer just play singleplayer.
