You probably wouldnt get so much blow back about the state of the game if you had chosen a $20 price point for early access instead of a bloated over priced price point of $50. Just saying price sets expectations .

I know someone else asked this too. Did we get an answer that I somehow missed? I know the devs answered other posts since then. Any case really just want a yes or no. (well if 'no' then I will grab my pitchfork but well...) sorry to pester if already answered.

I have a couple commenst and 1 question. WOOT THIS AWSOME WHY WAS THIS NOT THE BIG ANOUCEMENT. Glad to see Squad gettiong additional revinue sources. @SQUAD so i know you have confirmed you will keep your promise. Great news! But for those of us who bought before April 2013 like myself but who transfered to steam during the 1.1 testing fiasko will that transfer complicate you keeping your promise?

What's going to happen to the Rocket Part Revamp?
mcirish3 replied to Temeter's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I am sure my real concerns are mostly selfish. I am not sure the loss of second lead Dev in as many months is not a bad sign or that guys like Porkjet were not mission critical. In any case, as you mentioned there are some promised features that I am very concerned will not make it to the game now and to add to the ones you mention I might add multiplayer, wich has been repeatedly promised over the past year (or two?). But of even greater concern than the above, is what happens to all the mods maintained by the leaving devs. Many of the mods they maintain are nearly as responsible for KSP's popularity as the core game. IF they left on bad terms( I have no idea if they did or not) those mods may be dead as well especially if the license is restrictive. Crossing my fingers they update their mods for 1.2 at least. IF they don't 1.2 may be a great stock release but 1.1 will remain the last release that supports some of the greatest mods. NP By stonewalling I was not referring to their lack of communication. I was actually referring to the Idea you can't see through a stone wall and what is happening on the other side. Thus you are forced to accept what the guy at the top of the wall is telling you is on the other side. In other words, they can tell you the truth or not and you can't really argue with what they say. So by stonewalling I meant when Squad says there will be further development they could be telling the truth or they could be trying to avoid an uproar while they pack up equipment and boxes to shut down development. This of course is pure speculation bordering on conspiracy theory crap and I imagine someone will scold me for even saying it. I am not trying to say the above is happening, I was just wanting to know if anyone had a sense if they were stonewalling or not. -

What Facts Do We Know About The Devs Leaving?
mcirish3 replied to Mycroft's topic in KSP1 Discussion
There are a few promises left unfulfilled. Chief among it is multiplayer which has been promised repeatedly for 1.3 or 1.4. Is that to no longer be a thing? I don't have a list of other promised features handy at the moment but I am guessing most of that does not matter now? There is talk that there will be expansions. Will the promise made to me and many others who purchased early development be kept, namely that all expansions will be given to those early account holders free of charge? I am just asking... not sure anyone can answer. -
What's going to happen to the Rocket Part Revamp?
mcirish3 replied to Temeter's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I am just so terribly confused? Does anyone have any answers? Why the mass exodus followed by promises of future work. Are they stonewalling or telling the truth? Why would all the devs leave at once, especially since many of them are mission critical? I have lots of questions does anyone have answers? I leave to play Minecraft with my daughter for a few months and come back to this. -

Kerbal Space Program patch 1.1.2 is now live!
mcirish3 commented on KasperVld's article in Developer Articles
WHAT???? why a) zip file is 500-600mb, b) 2-3 hours till too long for a T1 line. I have DSL and it takes me about 20 min. Fully uninstall and reinstall it then. If you have a save game you want to save move it the save folder out of the install directory before using steam to uninstall the game. Then place the folder back after reinstalling. -

What do you mean? What do you want to update? It should auto update as long as you dont have it set to pre release or last stable release. -

mcirish3 commented on KasperVld's article in Developer Articles
People still use Dial up? SHeesh I am sorry for them. For every one else the patcher is not necessary since normal update take about 30min to dL the whole zip. At updates only come 3 or 6 times a year on average. -
No, KSP runs great on my PC. Just speaking from general experience.

Turn the traction control off. The current setup of traction control only is useful on flat ground.

One of the problems with this kind of issue, is that often the non reproducible ones, are caused by a very precise set of circumstances meeting at the crossroads of very specific hardware and software configurations. Sometimes the circumstances are particular to the hardware. Hardware issue are particularly hard to resolve since squad literally CANNOT test all configurations and often the cause is not reported in the error log.

^^knows patcher been broken for a year... still tries to use it. Your complaint is legitimate! Just not very productive. Perhaps e-mail squad tech support every day till they fix it. That would probably be more productive. Fifty lashes with a wet noodle for you! (did you have a sause request?) So different reason same result. same solution. DOn't use the patcher. -
Kerbal Space Program patch 1.1.2 is now live!
mcirish3 commented on KasperVld's article in Developer Articles
Well tectinaly the Patcher is not part of the game since it's by definition a separate program. so there is that. By now everyone should know that the patcher is broken so regardless of you opinion DON'T USE IT, since you know it won't work. Fifty lashes with a wet noodle for you! IF I have to, I suppose, though I more prefer a garlic, with a white wine cream sauce. -
