  1. First thing I would do with that money is stick some of it in a brief case and go to a space agency and say " you get this for funding if you train me up and stick me in that and launch me into space " ....... THEN after that

    1 - fund skylark ( think that's what it's called it's a company that's making STTO engines )

2 - buy a plot of land in the English country side as my own personal place

3 - buy second plot of land in the English country side and start building my space agency

4 - set up a company that makes and launches rocket then create a sister company that deals with everything sciency but the company will have a tourism side and commercial side but make it affordable for the average person " why go to Spain when you can go to space " and make the commercial side affordable so companies are not almost in liquidation after sending stuff up.

    And then go from there.

  2. My Mun lander is just a capsule with a small fuel tank ( not the 1x1 tank the 2x1 ) with a 909 engine also ladders, landing legs, ASAS and everything else you need and this gets me onto the Mun with half a tank of fuel and the rest gets me into areobrake of Kerbin

  3. well, as you can see from the my pictures, not a single part of this pack is picture-perfect, so don't worry about it.

this is supposed to be soviet-like, which basically gets me out of making the model have a kerbillion polygons and making you game lag.

perfect parts are nice, but not the point of focus here.

MY opinion is that it is better to quickly get a working but not-so-nice model to use, and maybe in later updates I will make it more accurate.

I would like the community opinion on the above statement tho ^

I'm with you on this one.

I'm not fond of the high res models I like my mind to fill in the blanks.

Also a really nice model might stand out amongst stock parts

  4. That would be a great idea if I actually applied maths to KSP. But seriously, there are plenty of others (Scott Manley, et. al.) who have done that far more ably than I could. No, my particular talent is helping newcomers turn the corner on basic concepts. Where they go from that point is up to them. Still, whenever I find a way to simply explain something that appears complex, that's when I'm motivated to make a tutorial.

Sadly, interplanetary flight is hard, at least without highly technical tools or some automation.

Yeah fair enough I understand that.

Maybe making a simple tutorial video on making your first space plane? Because on the rocket side of things I think you've got everything apart from a Minmus landing and of course IP missions but as you stated doing it stock is hard.

I've been trying to make one for a few days but fail hard

I'm technically still a newcomer myself been playing less than a week now.

  5. I've been dreading looking at my own thread due to possible slate comments. But there are good comments here. I had a look at SpaceX and for a company that's been around since 2002 they seem to be doing really well. At first I had high hopes for virgin galactic until they released how much it will cost for a 6 min sub-orbital flight ( 200,000 dollars ).

But for entertainment like films, computer games etc most of the time they cost more to make than to launch a vehicle into space. But I think it may seem expensive because its coming straight out of government ( tax payers ) pockets and into a machine that its life span is roughly one mission. I guess this is why we need STTO vehicles but nothing would look as magnificent as a Rocket launching into space.
