[.19 PARTS] JebCorp M-209 SPHERE ball probe system
Aescwulf replied to dishycourier's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Do you have to use MechJeb for this? -
Lately I'm starting to get worried about the future of space travel. Because in recent years we've suddenly seen an explosion of many countries getting independent access ( space race much ) and the USAF having their own unmanned space drone for military use. I'm starting to think that space will end up being weaponized, in my opinion space should be a place without military activity a place for exploration etc. Recently India revealed their space program and stated that it was made by using money that England gives to the country ( was in the papers I was highly annoyed ). But what upsets me the most is my countries lack of activity to go into space ( apart from satellites but to me that doesn't count it's needed for communications tv etc ) I was watching a documentary about one mans passion for space travel where barely in his teens he created his first small scale rocket ( like the model rockets you can get but it wasn't a kit he made everything from scratch ) well anyway he came up with this idea in like the early 80s for a single stage to orbit engine well he got government funding for the whole vehicle but after awhile the UK government gave up funding then slapped the classified sticker on the side of it. And even today our government won't fund for a space program because they care about money than innovation and scientific discovery and growth but luckly this one rocket engineer has his own company for making this engine and vehicle for it to go onto after the major powers giving up with SSTO vehicles. I felt proud when curiosity landed on mars and all of this other stuff and I frequent NASA's website but deep down inside I feel upset because I feel eventually that no one will be able to go to the moon or mars because a country will claim it as their own. And well I'm a bit sentimental about my country ( the land not the people government and politics ) Pointless thread is pointless

Where I live ( England Suffolk and Essex boarder ) there's a RAF and USAF base near by and during the summer months we often see low flying gunships and often I run out and wave and they are flying low enough for me to see them waving back

Yeah I had this drift problem as well when I was landing on Mun the first time I ended up losing control and well bouncing poor Jebs face off the surface of Mun and the second time ( thank the maker for quick save and load ) I almost lost control but managed to land. When I'm in Muns orbit I try to kill off all horizontal speed and land that way and start doing a slow burn around 30K M

A capsule for Tosh's Cart
Aescwulf replied to Dispatch's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I never built a home for my Mun rover I just stuck it directly to the command capsule and stuck the propane tanks and thrusters to it for landing. -
I've only landed on the Mun once.... I'm not good at designing rockets or doing calculations to see if the thing can't get to these places

[UNOFFICIAL/FANMADE] 0.18 Discussion thread
Aescwulf replied to kacperrutka26's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I think 0.18 would just be bug fixes The simulation thing as the person said above would be a good idea kinda like the benchmark testing that is in Forza 4 game. I think smoothing out the game as it stands should be in 0.18 otherwise you'll have so much content and then you'll spend ages sorting those out. -
There's several games I dislike the most. Final fantasy series - no matter how many people say " this is the best series ever" I have to disagree I've played most of FF games and I could never really get into it, it was the battle system couldn't stand to play a game like Pokemon anymore. CoD - I've played this series aswell but don't get me wrong I enjoy the WWII themed ones the same with Medal of Honour but when CoD started doing " it's that time of the year again" I just want to bash my dead on the table fact is that the main story part of the game is linear and then online mode geez " quik 1337 hackzorz 380 sniperz hedshot derp sir camp a lot" I rest my case.

How much testing do you do on interplanetary/munar craft?
Aescwulf replied to hubbazoot's topic in KSP1 Discussion
my testing goes like this - build rocket and launch if that dont work then go back and change and add stuff as i see fit -
Right I understand that this topic has been done to death by nearly everyone, and i have searched through mostly Mun topics to try and find my answer but haven't had much luck. Basically i want to go to the Mun, I've done it before through the in-game training Mun mission but i haven't built my own Mun rocket. My plan is to go to Mun and land on it and drive about using the Carts mod retract the wheels and then come back. To my understanding the information in the mod states that with 2 propane tanks and nozzles to go with it its able to leave Mun and make a return trip back to our home on Kerbin is this true? also is it possible to land on the moon with the cart ? Another thing I'm unsure about is how many stages would i need i know i need a stage to initially leave Kerbin's atmosphere but after that I'm unsure. With my orbiter rocket it has 3 stages and a final remove capsule from spacecraft to return home. Any other information and advice would be appreciated Yours Faithfully Aescwulf
