KerbalBase - A website for your ships!

What are the TOS? Restrictions etc? -
Dang it! Was looking forward to the Dropship. Oh well, I guess that's why it almost seems useless to make mods, cause along comes an update, and nothing works anymore. As for me, I save the old versions, I have 19 now, but mostly play with 18. Like the images man, looks sweet. Best of luck to ya, I hope it all gets resolved but at what price? In time for 21? Well I dunno, maybe mods should be done after they release a final version? Just saying.

@air805ronin, hehe I was just saying that this is a nation of complainers, people that sue McDonald's for spilling hot coffee on their laps and complaining that it was hot. People that sue gun manufacturers for a wrongful death and the likes. Me I usually wait for the bugs to get worked out before updating. Never try the soup until someone else has tasted it and survived.
-
So try an imagine what it would be like if NO ONE complained about the bugs, complaining is in our nature. Too hot, too cold, too wet too dry, what ever, but jumping down someone's throat about complaining is like complaining to the complainer. Silly. And the whole, Get over it, or deal with it attitude? That belongs to the "exclusive" members who have never failed at anything they have done or had any bad experiences in their lives what so ever. Just saying, relax, don't bash the complainers, without them, you all would still be under England's rule or saluting Adolph hitlers regime. Complaints?

Alejandro: It’s*very important! As I stated before, their feedback let us know how good*or bad we were going on the game. Also, feedback helps us to improve it*and to know what the players want for the game. The community is*growing very fast and also their opinions and comments. It’s really*great to read what they have to say about KSP. Felipe: Their*feedback is our greatest asset I think. We value the community’s*opinions more than we value our own, since they’re the ones we’re making*the game for. So hearing what they have to say is of paramount*importance to us. In the end, they’re the ones that decide how the game*will turn out to be. We may have a vision for the finished game, but it*all comes down to how they will receive it, and we’re always willing to*change our way of thinking if they don’t agree. There is a whole interview with the devs on the topic. http://truepcgaming.com/2011/08/08/kerbal-space-program-developer-interview/

"we want realism!" Wait why do my Kerbals now die on their way to Duna? What? Food? Air? BUG! IT'S A BUG! IT'S BROKE! Just having fun, no one take me seriously....

Hey, their not BUGS, their FEATURES without documentation.... Meanwhile at the news QA dept....... "Oi! Heere test this out, let me know if it's gonna frustrate everyone," Ten minutes later.... "yup that should panic the masses, ya think we can get more money for a better version?" "more money? What an idea! Johnson, your now head of QA!" "Here, release this statement, .... We are painfully aware that many of the new features won't work on your specific machine, but be patient our whole QA dept is working on stabilizing this release, remember its not a finished product...(snicker snicker) but soon! Thanks, SQUAD." (random snickering in the background......)

And ya know on a sub note, I don't know what you call your Ksp, but mine be known as the Kerbal Space Pirates.

I would like to start by tellin ya about me ship and me crew.... I be Captain H.L.Morgan, was born to that name, (honestly) well not the Captain part, that came later. Me captaincy started about 11 years ago when a band of scurvey dogs who was playing pirates decided to elect a Captain, one of em knew me and by unanimous vote I was in. According to the old laws of this here land, if by decision a captain be appointed by more than the majority of a vote, then he be entitled all due the rank. Me crew eventually drifted apart, I know where they be at all times, and once a year we gather in Tampa for the big celebration. Me gear consists of, 8 flintlocks, a cutlass and saber. I had a boat a while back, but during Katrina, she foundered and sank. Ahh the sea had spoken. Nowadays in Omaha, why Omaha? Tis the last place the English would think to look. Captain H. L. Morgan Esq.

I believe ya can ask a moderator. I gets idea of what ya was trying to do. Maybe edit the original post to include the terms, historical freemen, or gentlemen of fortune. If they complain, the conduct does not include historical discussions about famous persons such as Edward teach, famous or infamous, history is history. If they banned such discussions, the whole forum would be In trouble. But as for the word piracy, I actually changed me name to ThePyrateCaptain to avoid the word pirate, (olde English spelling) There as we spoke, ya made a few friends. Now on with the discussions.

I was just pointing out a possible issue, for those in the know, there is no distinction between pirates of old, and new, it's in the blood. In the olde days, it was gold, jewels, and such. For the new it's what ever costs or is of value to someone else. Once the term "pirate" gets thrown around, you are opening up a can of worms that will bring swift retribution from those in power. Originally freemen, pirates became hated, and now again loved by all. I have found that on these forums, discussions of this matter tend to get negative reflections or are designed to weed out suspected pirates. If there is one thing the "Geek Squad" hates is pirates that would rather shoot the bloody thing than get it fixed. I speak from experience as where I ran a sword through a laptop cause it angered me. Easy come easy go. On these forums, I am a participant that is tolerated by most, in the real world, I am known simply as Pirate. I work on cars, have my own shop, known as Pirate Automotive. I dress the part, always has. I have declared myself for many years, Omaha's original and only pirate. I do know the code, and live by it. But here, they can shred yer account and delete yer arse poke at ya and ya can't poke back. You wanna discuss pirates? Pm me. I can help, if not be cautious mate, the nervous inhabit these waters..... Captain H.L.Morgan, Esq.

Sounds like I won't be upgrading to .20 anytime soon. Back ups, keep yer back ups.

I have been testing an escape pod launch system, and on one of these tests I noticed 14 parent ships in orbit, then it occurred to me, perhaps I should put a vessel crew on the parent ships, instead of transferring the two Kerb's to the pod, and ejecting them? 14 debris targets each with a cash value of 100000 credits each, I think the central government will be canceling my budget here soon. Lol

The ones the devs use.

An obvious choice...... Nautical flag for ship in distress. FYI

With a scrolling list of credits, some interesting music, maybe a sneak shot at the end about how Einstien was screwed in the brain, and finally a "filmed in panavision" and all rights reserved LFL production...... On a sub note, in general, this topic shows the colors of the users, the dreamers, the desk top physicists, the laptop scientists, in general the people that can search the Internet and find a hundred things that all come from somewhere else, in our lonely little world of fiction, we strive to impress each other with measuring brain pans. This phenom is associated with all games, mostly combat oriented ones where in the players actually believe they know something about warfare. In this games case, all the rocket scientists have come out, but come on, really? Rocket scientists that have all this free time? As for me, I fix cars. Not a scientists, I take em apart and rebuild em again. I can look into the mirror and see me, can you?

Favorite and least favorite planet

In the kerbal toy? Or just in general. In kerbal toy, Jool. It represents a fraction of the potential power and mystery that sums up the universe. In general? I would have to say Iego, over a thousand moons, and nearly impossible to get to. -

How would you improve the Shuttle design?
ThePyrateCaptain replied to Epic DaVinci's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Well until the tech catches up with the ideas, then don't make one. Basically the current systems are noise converters. They take a fuel and make a lot of noise. Besides what the heck is in space that would make you spend a lot of money to go and see? News flash, this solar system is vacant save for Earth. Nothing to see here, move along..... -
Councillors ship
ThePyrateCaptain replied to ThePyrateCaptain's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Was gonna do an imperial star destroyer, but at over 1600 meters long, it would have to be built in space only. -
How would you improve the Shuttle design?
ThePyrateCaptain replied to Epic DaVinci's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Better designed propulsion systems, more efficient propulsion systems. Quicker turn around time. Modular construction to fit mission specific tasks. Life pod. Artificial gravity for prolonged space flight. The list goes on and on. They call it sci fi when we want better, 30 years ago cell phones were bulky and not very good. Now they look like communicators, smart technology ain't so.
