  1. I'm going to finish up the main part of the command pod first I think and then I'll work on the solar panels. I'd rather not release parts sporadically like "Oh, hey! I fixed this thing so here's the fifth update for this one part today!" That said, I don't have a set date for when stuff will be done, unfortunately. Since solar panels are simpler than a whole command pod they should be done in about a day.
  2. Expanded my station, which is made primarily with KSO, with the One-Eye Industries parts I've been working on: Launch Didn't think to get pictures of rendezvous and docking, but here's the final product: I'm loving how the docking ports turned out, too! It's a completely functional Active/Passive setup- one port has to be active, the other has to be passive! Docking with them requires a high level of accuracy since the drogue on passive ports is so small. And yes, you need to get the probe into the drogue in order to dock. Many orders of magnitude cooler than the stock ports in my opinion.
  3. Just shut down his internet. That should stop him! Waiter, there's a Peruvian Death Pepper in my soup!
  4. Someone else would make it later in time. What if everyone was a rocket scientist?
  5. Making progress on the manned variant and fairings. Because there will be nice fancy shrouds the engine fairings are switched to some struts in the style of the actual Soyuz. The base of the shrouds (the thing the engines are "attached" to) is also a 2.5m adapter and will be the only fairing base until I get some launcher parts done. It's probably gonna be a little while until it's ready to use.
  6. Really? Oh, that's odd... I could have sworn that this restaurant had a strict "No Cannibals" policy... Waiter, there's a club in my soup!
  7. Cool looking stuff! I don't suppose I could contract you to develop a logo for this part company, could you? Sauron (the guy behind part concepts) wants to subtly pay homage to the one-eyed tower dude.
  8. Yeah, since that's what I've got working now it's what I'm going to stick with. Since it looks like the crafts are going to be in the fairings there will be a small redesign of the fairings, but it won't be too bad.
  9. Sheesh! This is more complex than I thought! While doing something like this is definitely possible, I'm going to opt for something simpler for the sake of usability. I am, however, doing the opposite for the capsule and I need to fix that. It's a pretty complex shape rather than a simple sphere like you have there so I'll redo that (again ).
  10. Crap, the NSA's at it again! Waiter, there's a small country... no, wait... that's a Mainsail in my soup! It's so hard to tell the two apart these days...
  11. Switched around the Fairing configuration so now it has the Soyuz-style fairings that decouple to the side. Edit: Also, new pod shape closer to what Sauron originally had:
  12. Sure! I'll send you a PM shortly. Have you looked up any Blender tutorials to learn basics? I tried teaching people how to use it last year but I'm not a good teacher, so if you have then that would be awesome.
  13. I think Bobcat's old Soyuz mod actually does have the LES used on real Soyuz rockets, so it's definitely possible. It's a little more complex but if you look at, say, the stock NERVAs, the fairings used here would effectively work the same.
  14. That would be great! It would make my job much easier.
  15. I was having trouble getting it to the shape I wanted (especially with the heat shield) so I opted to go with a Soyuz-style pod as a temporary thing. It should be back to circular by the time I release it. Still, I will have to take some artistic liberties to get everything working well together.
  16. Yep! That's what I'm working on in the video above. Edit: Size comparison of the stock Mark 1-2 Pod and the OneEye Capsule: It's totally going to hold 3 Kerbals. It's gonna be cramped, but it will fit 3 Kerbals for sure.
  17. I'm not sure why they would really need a unique ID except for GUI Windows, but if they had the same ID for one part type it would be pointless... Definitely going to use your plugin for Sauron's Concept rockets when I get around to his spaceplane. I'm glad that even if my thing isn't going to work there is at least another great option.
  18. Crew Capsule WIP: The Capsule and its fairings are all one part. Getting the decouplers set up is a little tricky (two on one part) so I might make the top fairing separate. Textures are all incomplete, I haven't even UV mapped the capsule or top fairing.
  19. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I literally can't even. Can you?
  20. Probably because of all the strange nuclear warfare going on in this restaurant. Back in my day...mumble grumble Vaiter, vhy is zhere a noodle in my zoup?
  21. Oh, right. These are designed for use in an environment similar to what we have in real life... Carry on then! I need to remember context for these things better, sheesh! Pretty neat stuff, I like the idea of having two differing factions with a fairly significant technological margin. Really makes it clear that two superpowers wouldn't necessarily have developed their aerospace infrastructure similarly to how the US and Soviet Union did. That spaceplane is gonna be an awesome piece of hardware once it's done and in-game.
  22. Don't worry, I'll explain it to you when I'm ready to compile the solar panels.
  23. Cool, and I found a sample hierarchy on the forums so we should be good to go. What you can do is make one panel that gets repeated down the line, so we can use that single panel mesh 5 times to get a full solar array. So you might have something like this: ||-<X Base, Pivot, Panel (repeats 5 times)
