  1. Recreated the plan for STS-1, a RTLS abort demonstration. this plan was later changed to what flew, because the astros vetoed the idea. Powered turn around was pretty terrifying. There should be presets in the texture changing thing to make different orbiters with the click of a button.
  2. anyone have a craft file with the crawler assembled with the shuttle? cannot figure out how to assemble it.
  3. Cygnus Enhanced with your Atlas V works quite amazing. just need to switch from drag cubes to spherical model and turn the drag down a bit (both in cheats).
  4. took some lovely pictures of dragon on orbit: KJR works wonders with the falcon.
  5. I told some people about this project over on NSF, they were looking for people with cubesat ideas, they said they might be able to help with projects. Someone should make an account and be a representative over there, not me as I know nothing about this project, just saw the NSF thread and on a whim posted about the KSP Kommunity Cubesat.
  6. Remember, its not the Poly count that matters for KSP, its the texture resolution. Poly counts little. Edit: just tried AV 551 ( from the 1.02 test version) in 1.02, it is intolerable to fly, always flipping.

  8. This is a lovely mod, works nice in 1.02 ( I know its designed for 1.04, but idc). the capsule aerodynamics are lovely, it flights straight, though the ICPS needs fuel to do TMI.

  11. yah, the comunity has ben dying. it started right after .90 and accelerated rapidly after 1.0.0,1.02 has stemmed the tide. i expected the community to be better after 1.0, but since that update was rushed it didt help
  12. i have embarked on the hunt for Elon kerman. I have been at it for 3 hours and have killed 800 kerbals but still haven't found him. IS there a mod that automatically hires kerbals then puts them in a ship?. Ive seen Billy-Bobsen Kerman 3 times after I've killed him.

  14. what happened to vulkan? you posted pictures and there are some parts that are labeled for vulkan but not a complete set and no .craft files. were they not ready for release?.
  15. Interesting bug: if i have a inflatable shield (I'm using the 1.5 meter one, it might only affect it). if it is stowed in the van it is extended in flight. Could just be me, not really hard to retract on the pad.
  16. Well, its funky but it works. I suppose it would abort as a regular orion would. I had to fire the abort manually (decouple the backshell using menu option, same with abort tower) which worked fine. Note for the craft: getting out of the way of the adapter between orion and altair is tricky.

  18. Maybe you could use the new stock system for varying textures in heatshields to have it fly up white, then get dirty on entry
  19. Gemini Atlas Agena is flipping constantly, cannot get it into orbit. Gravity turn: 10 deg north at 100 m/s. Turn off SAS, let gravity turn it till 25 Km, then parallel. Flips at 4k.
  20. Who ever said they had to be expendable? *pics to follow* would be nice to have a 1.875 meter probe core to fit in this.
  21. And, it still basically works in 1.02. Just need to be very carefull with the gravity turn and turn off non strict part attachment and it works fine.
