  1. so do i. Like i said, it cuts out non-game background audio (like youtube, unless it auto-loads a video). so i can record footage and listen to youtube at the same time
  2. its very useful to listen to vine memes and do combat. Works every time except for that time when the video changed and it started playing prozd weeb shtuff in the background.
  3. hint: hit the windows key and G at the same time and hit the record button, it saves a video of the whole screen on a game and also cuts out audio from other apps. I record all my stuff with that, its really nice.
  4. its whiter than i am, so... no that looks trippy. Does it actually have range to get to the poles?
  5. you need to put your plane on atkins. Will help a lot.
  6. And for our next battle, we have @Mukita12 with their debut of the FlankLand FL-1 Clevation. Its a supermaneuverable delta with...a very noticeable 20-ton weight...wow, where's all that weight coming from? It's competing against the ReSoup for the #5 slot The first battle was REALLY close between the FL-1 and the ReSoup, with the FL-1 scoring a missile kill. However, the FL-1 is pretty inaccurate with its guns, and in the end, the first round ends 2-3. In the second round, the ReSoups put the press on the FL-1s, winning 3-0.
  7. And you see folks, this is what happens when you start uploading dogfights at midnight, you doze off before you hit "enter". For our next fight, we have one of @dundun93's creations, the F-34 bullet. Off the gate, we can see this has a healthy armament of missiles, a pair of guns in the wing roots, and good thrust to weight, but is a little lacking in the control surface category, using no full-flying controls like most fighters (full-flying control surfaces are the ones where the entire component moves instead of just a small elevator on the trailing edge). So how will it do against the ReSoup? It routs itself...Despite its roots on a very fast design, the aircraft breaks formation because of a distinct lack of air inlets. As soon as the aircraft goes to maneuver, one of the engines flames out, and with so little rudder, it gets into a spin almost immediately. This is extremely noticeable in battle two, where we can see aircraft about a minute into the video spinning over the water. NO RANK FOR YOU!
  8. so, uuh...suicidalinsanity...i see we've gone with something really experimental this time...like, wingless? This is gonna be good. So up against @SuicidalInsanity's newest creation, the x-03 is the ReSoup, a four-engine agility fighter. So right off the bat we can tell this aircraft is not about maneuverability, weighing in at 11 tons, supported by a single engine and having a minimum of wing area, we've severely diverged from the X-02 into...something else entirely. but boy does it rout fighters...The full might of the X-03's armament is brought to bear on the enemy ReSoups, causing them to run. However, once the enemy starts to run, the X-03s start to use their guns out at 4km, way beyond any hope of effectiveness against a maneuvering aircraft. The resoups use the lead sled's inherent lack of mobility to their advantage and mop up, 3-0 Second fight is...not much better...yeah...The X-03 is about as far of a diversion from the Taisch as you can get. The taisch was really focused as a close-quarters gunfighter with looks to kill. It could outturn most other twin-engine designs, and its guns were lethally accurate. This aircraft is a lead sled with a missile fetish, and unfortunately isn't quite there in terms of performance. Brian had the idea, i just have large amounts of extra time. i probably annoy brian with my shenanigans here. And he'll always have the last call on rules. i can always tell people that they are annoying me and *i* won't do something, he can always overrule
  9. sorry, i really don't need people abusing a volunteer service. or starting a multi-page argument over a rule change. @dundun92 your entry is disqualified because it entirely lacks air inlets...and is powered by a jet engine...why?
  10. f-34's already in queue after the...X-03 and and F-13, so sounds good.
  11. I pick...the x-38. Hey look, it's not been modified, so still will have that issue with running away from...everything at high speed. Your submission has been rejected on those grounds. Have a good one!
  12. Rules say you can post. Rules don't say i (or anyone else for that matter) have to test. And if you want to try to flood the queue with aircraft just to create a problem, i will create problem for you.
  13. pick a couple, pick three fine. I ain't paid to do this. If you wish to submit all 21 freakin designs i will pick one and ignore the rest.
  14. Because this competition would be very boring if you could only make one submission total. Also, no one has really had more than two designs active at a time, and if they did, they usually in the same breath say" ignore previous designs, this is my best work". In short, you are raising a nonissue. Also, if you are referring to suicidalinsanity's post, it is because i asked him for exactly what is providing. We're going to be having a special christmas fight, probably on christmas eve against one of each of the roster aircraft, and i'm not artistic enough to create a weaponized sleigh and reindeer. i will quote an entire filthy frank song for you if you attempt this. If you can figure out which one, kudos.
  15. May help if you did. Immensely Maneuverability is not as critical if you rout the enemy. Launching more missiles has a higher probability of keeping the enemy running, meaning the chance of an enemy fighter retaliating drops pretty close to zero and you can get on their tails with guns with minimal effort. Even 3v2 is better odds.
  16. As a reminder to all: This is a five-man leaderboard. Many have not gotten here, many have fallen from the ranking before this, and competition is heating up. What would have made the #1 spot in the leaderboard before the break early december will no longer make the leaderboards at all. It is critical that you test your aircraft with BDA Autopilot battles against other ranked aircraft if you wish to place on the ranking board. At this point in the game, an untested aircraft is essentially guaranteed not to make rank if it has not been tested in BDA autopilot battles. I know many of you test your aircraft meticulously, and this message is not necessarily for you, but i do still see submissions that are far from competitive because they were not tested.
  17. And for our first battle of the day, we have @MrChumley's ReSoup, defending its new #5 spot from @Joseph Kerman's F-15c. The F-15 is armed to the gills with 8 AMRAAMS, 4 Sidewinders, and a vulcan cannon, yet weighs just 12 tons? So how will it do against the ReSoup? The answer is...poorly. The F-15 appears to be a missile hauler, but can't actually haul missiles. What i mean is despite having a wealth of missiles, it only fires two at a time, meaning it enters combat with well over a ton of ammunition it will never fire. Worse off, it suffers from either a lack of mobility or debilitating PID issues, where the aircraft has trouble staying in a straight line. The result is a gunfighter that can't aim, and a missile hauler that never launches its weapons. If this was mine, i'd be setting the missiles per target to 4 at least, and maybe looking into some test fights... Great looking plane, just not a good fighter at this time.
  18. Just an FYI it is critical if you wish to get your craft on the roster to test it and make improvements, especially this far into competition. Your aircraft seems to have severe maneuverability/PID issues. Video will be up in a bit.
  19. Have you run this through any BDA fights? i'll be testing in a bit, just curious
  20. And for our next battle, we have the Wunderwaffle up against the notorious Novi, fighting for the #3 spot...who will win this one? The Waffles have their moment in Battle 2, but the Novi dominate as usual, cementing the Waffle's #4 spot. not necessarily a bad thing. Means better fighters are being introduced, and competition is getting more intense.
  21. Alright, and for our second battle with the Wunderwaffle, we have the ReSoup defending its #4 spot. Now, with a bigger radar signature to lock onto, it should be a much easier task for the Waffle to get missiles on target..but will this be the case? It is going up, once again, against a craft with an absurd thrust to weight ratio (same engines, 5t less weight), and much more maneuverability...right? In battle 1, the Waffles get devoured by the ReSoups, 0-3 In battle 2, there's a surprising reversal as the Waffles gain the upper hand with their initial missile volley In battle 3, a major flaw of the Waffle is revealed, as a waffle blows itself up with its own missile. However, the waffles' missile spam manages to knock out another soup and level the playing field, winning the Waffles the #4 spot.
