FYI I removed and reinstalled OPM completely and the vanishing contract issue still continues. I was hoping it was something from the upgrade to 1.6 that caused it but it appears not to be the case. (EDIT) Did more testing and it's definitely the scene change that does it, changing focus, or going back and forth between map views doesn't affect it. I was able to accept the Explore Sarnus contract and complete it without changing scenes at all, several previous tries were all wiped out with any scene change. I grabbed a couple screenshots and the player.log right after accepting explore tekto and eeloo contracts, I hope there is something in them that the Devs of this mod can use, because otherwise, this is truly a game breaker for career mode. And the Log file here.

I think I've found an issue. I've just now reached the point in career where the first Sarnus system contract came up. It was an "Explore Eeloo" contract, then "Explore Tekto" came up...I declined several in the Contract Facility trying to get the "Explore Sarnus" one to come up, I would think it should become available before even Eeloo or Tekto. After a while of declining, I just went out to the space center screen and SHIFT-F12'd it and started declining contracts there until the "Explore Sarnus" one finally came up. So I had those 3 Explore contracts, I went to the VAB to load up my vessel I made a while ago for this mission and while in the VAB I checked the contracts again and they were gone. I still had the advanced money from them, but they vanished. I exited back to the space center and checked, still gone. Then I SHIFT-F12'd and checked and they weren't active, or completed, but they were offered again. I accepted them, got the advance money once again and went back to the VAB...and they were gone again. After that I started experimenting and it seems that every OPM related contract vanishes on me when I switch scenes. If I have NON-OPM related contracts, all is well. If I have OPM and NON-OPM contracts active at the same time, they all vanish. It doesn't matter if I quick-save after accepting, as soon as I switch scenes anywhere, they vanish. Anyone else have this issue?

The Linux Thread!

htop I tried just plain ol 'top' and it didn't report multiple processes like htop did...but still that doesn't really have anything to do with my issue, all this happened way before I found htop (recommended here in this thread) -

That's exactly what killed my HD. I heard it go "Ka-Chunk" when it shut down mid-crank and after that, nothing but beeping errors when I tried to boot up, which is exactly the same thing that happened here, the only exception being, my new HD hasn't died yet! I usually hover around 3.5gb usage, but something definitely happened that caused the memory to skyrocket and then start swapping and cranking the HD. As for all the .x64_86 processes, that is how I've always seen it displayed in Mint, can anyone else chime in on this issue? -

Yea 8gb, and the only things running were KSP, the terminal window with htop, and a nemo window open to the KSP directory. I did notice that at the very end, 'out of memory' sure looks like the culprit. Not even sure what MJ was doing, I was at the space center scene, and clicked the button to go back to the main menu when it all went to hell -

So I've been playing for a couple weeks with minimal issues from my latest problem, the game freezing and making my HD go wild, but it hit again last night out of the blue. I was actually closing the game and as soon as I tried to go to the main menu, it started. I sat and watched and listened to my HD crank non-stop for minutes and kept trying to alt-tab or ctrl-alt-backspace to get out of it and I was actually able to alt-tab after about 10 minutes and grab some screenshots. I'll include the logfile as well if anyone wants to take a look, I'm not sure what to even look for. The first shot is a normal game memory usage situation: And here is what happened when it locked up and started cranking to my HD: and HERE is the logfile. This was the first time I was actually able to do anything except a hard shutdown when this happens. I'm terrified each time it does happen because it killed one HD with this problem when I had to pull the laptop battery when the HD wouldn't stop cranking -
I find this 'lil plugin to be highly useful and unbelievably depressing to watch in action. If you are one of those people who sees a problem and can't resist the urge to track down the problem and fix it, then for the love of God do not use this!

I really dig this concept. Keep up the good work! -
I'm using Mint 17.1 with the 64bit client. I haven't had any issues with TweakScale so far.

[1.3.0] Kerbal Engineer Redux 1.1.3.0 (2017-05-28)

Is there a way to use this to calculate how high of an orbit I can while building a craft? Right now I just trial-and-error it by reverting when I see that I can get a higher orbit. -
So far so good. No weird anomalies when replacing the old version...and that's ALWAYS a good thing

There's discussion in the OPM thread about a similar thing. I lose the Sarnus rings, and Ovock goes back to round when I try and use a desktop icon to launch the game. But if I launch the game by double clicking the executable from a window manager, all is well. It was said that maybe Kittopia has some enviroment variable issues, so I'm not sure if it's a OPM or OP+ issue at all. BTW, that happens to me in Linux....

This is the number one thing I would wish for in the mod. Is there a way for noobs to incorporate this fix until TriggerAu does something like this in an official release? -

Oh my. That was so simple. I can't tell you how many times I tried to edit it and never realized the HUD windows went opaque and were movable -

Does anyone have a MM patch to make the fuel switcher work with the tanks from MRS and SpaceY Lifters? (EDIT) I'm a noob but this was pretty easy to figure out, so here is the relevant info if anyone wants to use the Fuel Switcher with MRS and/or SpaceY tanks: MRS/SpaceY configs
