  1. No worries, I'm working on it as I type this. I need the fleet to do a few course corrections on its way to Jool. -Rocket
  2. Setting Foot on Laythe Hello all! Long time no see! These past months, I have been working on a little project, and I have decided to do a mission report on it, so enjoy! So let’s start with a little story, back in the day, all the way back in update 0.17, I was playing KSP. Planets besides Kerbin had just been added, and it was amazing. I gazed at the Joolian moons in awe, there was so much to explore! However I never really got to th "explore" part. Instead, I would add “moar boosters” until I somehow managed get a Kerbal to these strange new worlds. It was simple, but still fun. When going to Laythe, for example, I would land a lander or capsule there. That was it, nothing else to do. It would have been neat to have space program based there (without just using mods), that way I could fool around all I want. Fast forward to today, 1.1 is upon us after so much waiting. A lot has changed since then, we have docking, and IRSU, together allowing for endless refueling of ships. Docking… IRSU… Jool exploration… Hmm, now there’s an idea!
  3. Wow, it's finally here! Only took nearly a year! But to be honest, I think it was worth it. Farewell 1.0.5, you wont be missed. And to the devs, as always, you guys are awesome! -Rocket
  4. Quick suggestion for Squad: I understand that the KSP store is not as suitable for experimental builds as Steam, however as you guys have hopefully realized by now, the community is salty. How to improve this situation? How about posting the latest pre-release build to the KSP store once per day. That seams reasonable given that in the past you guys have released patch updates to the store within hours of each other. Of course those people wont have the latest build most of the time and thus wouldn't be able to contribute to the testing process, but according to the current plan KSP store goers wont be included anyways. The pro here is that those who feel left out will still get almost the same content. I know the test builds will be buggy, but last I checked there are people today playing the half broken 64 bit KSP and they tolerate it. Lets face it, many people here are interpreting this "Opt-in" as a certain group of individuals (Steam goers) basically getting 1.1 two weeks before everyone else. Nothing will change that opinion, even if the first pre-release builds are mostly broken. So please, listen to the community and try to not alienate much of your player-base. -Rocket
  5. I made it to the island airfield on a ferry!
  6. Heading to the island airport with my rover... On a ferry!
  7. A crew lift for a ship I'm working on. The floor is not yet installed so it looks kinda empty.
  8. I had some technical difficulties with the fireworks display... Anyways Happy 2016 everyone! I didn't even know such a big explosion was possible... Judging by this last picture I estimate only about 30% of the fireworks went off. Shame.
  9. I'm working on a "Falcon 7." Might replace my usual launchers.
  10. That touchdown was the single most amazing thing I have ever seen!
  11. I'm developing a strongback vehicle to transport my reusable shuttle's booster after landing and later raise it again for launch. This is so I can use the shuttle on Laythe. Unfortunately the rockets used to rotate the tower incinerated the chassis... but hey, it's WIP!
  12. The first real mission of my fully reusable space shuttle: Rescue a Kerbal from LKO (contract).
  13. RUD Those bits near the top are 3.5 meter fuel tanks...
  14. I'm not sure if my insurance covers this... I don't even know how to explain what happened.
  15. "Almost there!" "We're gonna make it this time, I just know it!" "Or not..."
  16. I am having the WORSE luck with this project I'm working on.
  17. Here are some pictures from various angles. I only went there once, and that was 0.17.1
  18. I was testing this new SSTO, but on ascent I went a tad bit too fast and got from heating effects. Suddenly the Vector's exhaust trail... turned pink? It went blue again as soon as the heating stopped. I have no mods that change any textures or effects at all. Can anyone explain this? On reentry the exhaust stayed blue.
