Actually it was confirmed, by the creator of the game no less
I stand corrected. I remember that post, but couldn't locate it - probably just didn't look hard enough. Thanks for tracking that down. :-)

I think that this was an intended feature in the extreme early days, which is why command pods contain an amount of monopropellant too small to be useful for docking. I don't remember that it was ever implemented in stock, though.
It wasn't. There are a couple references to it in the Wiki, which seem to have this forum thread as their root. It was never confirmed by a dev at that time as far as I can tell. The small amount of monoprop was added to all the CMs in 0.23. The best post on the details and background is this one from 2016.

I agree with you completely, but the game also isn't feature-complete.
True, it's Scope-complete, but it's pretty close to feature-complete. 1.2 is supposed to have it almost there. Hard to say since the current crew may have a different notion of what that entails than Harvestr did.

Thanks Kasper! Best of luck in your next endeavors!

Kasper also left us..
Ah, then I stand corrected on major departures.
Any game producer is going to have fairly high turnover once a game becomes feature-complete. It's normal for the industry.

KSP is falling apart, no no no..
Isn't that a little alarmist? Ted left more than two months ago, there haven't been any major departures since, and there's a great team of developers and QA folks working to push out 1.2. The new features for 1.2 look great - doesn't seem to be falling apart to me, seems to be in pretty good health.

Why does the bug tracker require my first and last names to register an account? It doesn't seem like they are shared publically, but I want to know what they are used for.
Because the bug tracker runs on Redmine, and the developers of Redmine built first name and last name as non-optional fields in the user registration page. This isn't some nefariousness on the part of Squad, it's a limitation of the bug tracking platform. There's no mechanism that forces you to provide your actual first name and last name, the only true requirements are a unique username and a real email address for account verification.

Thanks for all the hard work. QA is a thankless job, even more so than development, and you navigated it well, with professionalism and thoroughness. Best of luck in your next endeavor, it's been a pleasure working with you and, during the times I had my own stuff going on, watching you work and lead. You showed how it *should* be done. Thanks and if you're ever in Portland, Oregon, look me up and I'll buy you a pint.
