  1. Has anyone experimented with using loaded ore tanks as extremely heavy blunt impacters?

    (The large ore tank can hold 15 tons of ore, so I think I may have discovered what the tirepedo H is made of)

  2. i have two fighters that i like to use

    1 of them is heavily armored

    1 of them is small

    but both are the same size... roughly.

    I can resurrect my old Kraken Ships if you set up. Try not to group your ships at the same point in an orbit, it makes for bad lag.

  4. One time, I had an unmanned satellite with all the bells and whistles. I attached an empty cockpit on it for the reaction wheels with a decoupler. When the satellite was in position, i jettisoned the cockpit into space... for about 20 seconds.. and then it comes FLYING straight back at me at like 10,000 m/s and annihilates my satellite. I was blindsided, to say the least.

    I thought the head bug in 0.90 was bad. I was wrong.

    Even worse was the gyro bug. After spinning for an indefinite time, ksp splits into two instances, each phasing in and out . The horror. I have entered the realm of the abyss. I can never go back. I can never unsee. I cannot, and I will not forget my purpose. This is the end once and for all.

  7. The third episode was taken down by a stupid copyright take-down. Was really anticipating my K-22 to get spotlight. It no longer works nearly as good as it used to before 1.0 and it needs a good tribute.

    Change the soundtrack and music used real fast and re-upload it.

    -.- I didn't monitize the damn video, doesn't this count as fair use? The claim is either for the queen or two steps from hell song which is stupid because I've seen them used on other channels notably frektal fells and the mighty jingles. I'll make sure to turn up track compression on the reupload or speed it up to evade copyright, maybe past a little section of fair use at the bottom

  8. Maybe, but stack separators really have no penetration. I prefer 1x1 steel plates, or similarly-sized high-impact parts.

    because atmospheric projectiles can reach unprecedented velocities, are decoupler missiles feasible now? My tank's missiles will need some serious redesign to make them fly parallel to the ground again.

  9. Actually something ive been trying to figure out for a while, is there ANY WAY WHATSOEVER to armor engines?

    Aside from redundancy and having pods so that there are still some engines left after a hit, i cant seem to be able to block enemy fire from wiping out engines (if they are targeted specifically). The fact that nukes are so large exponentially increases the issues as well since they are so easy to hit, large hitbox, large profile, heavy, and they tend to be very weak armor wise too.

    Im gonna try to make a ion ship now, ions are going to be used in large numbers anyways, and now with the new fuel tanks, its not going to be part count insanity (and i can make more compact ships with better weapons hardpoints now that i dont need the entire ship to be a fuel depo).

    Actually, i think i just though of the ultimate armor layout, since ions work liek RCS, and dont care about fuel lines, or stuff behind them blocking thrust, i can make the ship have dedicated fuel+ion clusters all over the place. That might make the ultimate in redundancy, every single part of teh ship has dedicated engines, armor, weapons, and control units. The ultimate ship, is one that can maintain combat/mobility even after being shot into pieces. Ill post some screenies if i can pull off something thats below 300 parts and manages a useable TWR thats not much worse then some of the heavy nuke monsters like the dreks.

    What id do right now for ion engine thats 1.25 or 2.5m, thatd solve all part count issues, cause having to bring like 1 engine/ton is rediculous, my 60t corvette has 48 engines and even then the burns are kinda painful, ideally itd have 60 of em!

    It isn't that hard to recess engines back into the body of the craft. Granted you still have to expose a little bit, but that's always gonna happen.

    Alternatively, if you have a kraken drive you don't have this problem

  10. Has anyone noticed the absence of a loading bar in 1.0?

    It just does not appear for my download, and it keeps showing the loading hints, even after an hour of leaving it alone it still doesn't load?

  11. Just downloaded 1.0 and tested some weapons. The cannons I used on my Maverick previously had a range of about 730m. Now wit hthe new aero model, they have a range of well over 7km!

    Speaking of battles, should I take my turn for the tank battle in version 0.90 or version 1.0?

    just do it in 1.0, I already downloaded the new 32bit version.

    Due to this "Phony War" I just decided to move myself.

    I deployed a Flame Tank and attempted to launch I high powered missile, but the damned RCS ports wouldn't fire .O.

    Went the old fashioned way and gave several flameblasts to knock around your tanks.

    I didn't notice any flipping equipment on your tanks so I think you are done script.

  13. Here is the persist file from my game, ~200t maximum limit plz (i deployed 200t total for ships). if you go a little bit over thats ok, but try to keep it near what i have.

    4 ships, 2 around mun, 2 around kerbin, so please stick to within kerbin SOI. Thatll make fuel actually matter somewhat but since kerbin doesnt exactly take incredible amounts of fuel it shouldnt devolve into a every ship runs out of fuel issue. Spawn anywhere you like that is at least 100000km away from any one of my ships so that you dont just get a free kill and have to actually maneuver to intercept.

    Also, all of these ships are 100% experimental, and ive outfit them with primarily weak ammo for use against lighter armor. Also, this is my 1st turn based battle, so if i do/did something wrong please correct me.

    And here are a few pictures of the actual ships im deploying. They have so-so armor, able to at least bounce some weaker weapons, and they have some redundancy too.

    Finally, i also deployed a repair drone as well, this is not a combat unit but is just there IF i need to fix one of my ships in the later game (if support ships that arent intended for direct combat arent allowed feel free to delete it, although it weighs less then 2 tons, so its really insignificant).

    And finally, please keep debris to at LEAST 1000, this is because stuff liek shot off fuel tanks, ect can actually come in handy
