28 words per minute on my phone. I know I can type at least 3 times faster on a keyboard.

Minmus is frozen as it doesn\'t have a molten core like Kerbin. Minmus looks like it separated from Kerbin by a large impact taking with it liquid which then froze as Minmus cooled down.

Suggestion: Possibility of Malfunctioning Parts?
what-the replied to DomAzaris1996's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I would only really like to see malfunctioning parts on unmanned flights. The unmanned flights are controlled by the computer (path and everything that happens chosen by the player) and they happen in real time with other flights and manned flights. When a part fails it will alert you and you could see the problems that arise because of the failed part. You will be able to select any other possible alternatives for the flight like abort transfer and wait for docking or just watch it blow into smithereens. -
That guy\'s going to get fired. Feels more like it should be a movie than a game.

Just went to each moon twice and then landed at Kerbin. It took 67 days.

Easy. You can do it yourself. Sit on a 360 chair (office chair) with a heavy book. Hold book out and move the book left or right. You can keep spinning around by bringing the book to the centre of gravity after you can\'t reach any further and then extending to the side you started from. By using weights you could turn the ship too.

This is so unbelievably Kerbal I had to share it with you...
what-the replied to Excalibur's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Now I wish KSP had a rail test track. Maybe in the future when kerbals are training to be pilots we will have one. -
With the update of 0.15 parachutes can now be attached everywhere. The challenge is now to clime to an altitude of at least 20,000 meters decouple and land. Scoring is based on how many parts you can recover. Parachutes do not count as parts. You must closely follow the decouple stage as it descends otherwise it will go on rails and be destroyed. To start off here\'s my attempt of 5 parts.

Small easy to fly spaceplane assisted rocket
what-the posted a topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I have created a two stage spaceplane/rocket that is very easy to fly. It is capable of landing on Minmus (The Mun is not yet been tested). All you have to do is Activate the Advanced SAS and push the throttle all the way up. Once in the air nose up to about 30 degrees and wait until main rocket is out of full. Decouple from the spaceplane and assend into space. Take Off On runway. Just after decouple Taking off from Minmus When flying do not raise the landing gear. There is an issue which if you raise the landing gear you will lower the landing legs (The landing legs create too much drag). If it was possible to fly the decoupled stage you could land it and use it again along with the lander. Making it debris free and 100% part recoverable. -
Landed on Minmus using the langing gear and not legs. I have to admit I was chasing the little bugger around for awhile.

How do we know that the universe's expansion is accelerating?
what-the replied to pilot00's topic in The Lounge
I personally don\'t believe the expansion is accelerating. If you imagine the universe with just one direction and time with just a handful of particles all at one point. There\'s an explosion and each particle randomly gets different amounts of energy (velocity) then to any particle all the other particles can look like their accelerating but there not. lets say x is going 10m/s y is going 30m/s z is going 40m/s a is going 70m/s b is going 200m/s Lets say you are z and you look at the other particles at the 5th second relative to z. (Like what we are doing but on an even bigger scale) 50 150 200 350 1000 x <---- y <---- z ----> a ----> b -100 -50 0 150 650 Your redshift would be (Not an actual measurement) 30 10 30 130 With a random sample it can appear to be accelerating. As the universe is mostly random then it will appear like it\'s accelerating. We have not been observing the universe for long enough to draw an accurate conclusion. -
Purely on Windows gaming I would choose Intel. Anything else and I would go with AMD.

Nice. I am about to build myself a computer that runs 2 GTX550TI\'s in SLI. The performance is similar to a GTX570 but (in Australia at least) is over $100 cheaper.

Sometimes I get a little buz sound which is from the fan over the CPU. Make sure you download heat monitoring programs to make sure that your parts are not over heating. Remember to check the manufactures recommended heat range. When I overlocked my PC I activated a function in the BIOS which will turn it off when ever the temp got too high. Though it was faulty and would turn itself of all the time it was a good safety measure while I found out how much OCing I could do. I got mine from 2.7Ghz to 3.0Ghz. A 1Mhz shouldn\'t cause any harm as CPU manufactures have a rather large safety measure. Are you sure it was 1Mhz as 1 megahertz = 0.001 gigahertz.

You can\'t start from the mun but to get there quickly to test things out you could modify an engine.

0.15 Easter eggs? (Obviously possible spoilers inside)
what-the replied to zombiphylax's topic in KSP1 Discussion
There is one other way which improves your chances of finding them. That\'s using a protractor on an image which shows the monument and the shadow of it. That\'s how I found it. -
We'll see the first man on Mars in a few short years.
what-the replied to VincentMcConnell's topic in The Lounge
I would like to see man on Mars but the time it takes to get there could send the astronauts a little loopy unless we use cryogenics and that drug that could possible extend life works (more astronauts want to go). -
0.15 Easter eggs? (Obviously possible spoilers inside)
what-the replied to zombiphylax's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Two of them? It would be awesome if they were on every SOI. If it happens I say good luck finding the one on the sun! -
0.15 Easter eggs? (Obviously possible spoilers inside)
what-the replied to zombiphylax's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Using the shadow I was able to determin the angle North or south of the equator. The sun eliminated one of those. That left me with a ring (of latitude at x angle from equator) to look.
