Contracts give double funds. Is this a bug?
Superfluous J replied to CYoungCS's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Did you maybe get a World First as well? I'm testing this now with the cheapest craft possible. Oh. No need to test. ---UPDATE--- You're supposed to get that. You get the 560 for taking the contract, the 1040 for completing the contract, and the 1600 for completing that one part of the contract. It's only a coincidence that the first 2 add up to the 3rd one. It's also a bit more obvious on multi-part contracts. -
Have the game installed. Check Steam to find the local directory. Write that down. Delete the game from Steam Use Explorer to browse to the directory you wrote down. Delete it. If it doesn't exist, no biggie you were going to delete it anyway. Reinstall the game. If you're still having problems, we will need more information than "I'm still having problems."

If you can see them both, then it's either 100% or 0%. If you can't, it's 50/50. If you can't see either and hear her or someone mention her son in a way that does not identify the gender of her other child, then it's 1/3. Any other situation I can think of, someone's trying to trick you so don't bet any money. Ignoring twins and 51/49 split on purpose for ease of numbers.

Ah so it's a trick like the airplane treadmill puzzle. Should have known. At least this one is ONLY a grammar trick. And (if it is what I think it is) a massive stretch.
-
Something tells me this is going to be more involved than the Moon Black Hole and Plane on a Treadmill threads. But I'll put my answer in a spoiler.
-
While we can confirm it is back for everybody, we are unable to ascertain whether or not you are hearing things.

Oh it didn't run at full speed but it was playable. It wasn't until both asparagus lift stages were out of physics range before I had a green timer

Part search history

Awesome idea. Or maybe a way to with a click save the search as a tab. Or whatever they're called. The categories like Science, Utility, etc. -
Whats wrong with my shrouds?
Superfluous J replied to AngrybobH's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Hmm for me every time I load the vessel it's offset in a different way. -
I used the 5M plates from Making History (or are those base?) and attached 6 Mainsails to each. The other asparagus stage has Bobcats (18 total, 9 on a side in the thickest configuration of 8 around and 1 in the middle) and the middle stage has 4 Mastodons, that actually stick around until after Kerbin ejection but are dropped long before we reach Moho. Here's the Imgur album from the first half of the mission. The ship is slightly different but essentially the same. https://imgur.com/gallery/7prQ37J

Whats wrong with my shrouds?

Happens to me all the time too. Doesn't bug me enough to put the time into finding out if it's a stock issue or a mod. -
Okay I said "next week" three weeks ago, but It's been fixed now. The mission is still hard but now the cost of failure is reloading and trying again, not throwing your computer out the window in frustration. Note the link on KerbalX is different so you'll need to go there to get the new file, not the old mission link. I don't think KerbalX supports modifying missions yet (or I just couldn't figure out how). I also submitted it to Steam Workshop but as of right now it's not updated there. I assume it will in the next mumbleteen minutes or so.

You basically can't. Depending on the mod, you may be able to just use it in 1.4.4 (ignore the warnings) or find versions for 1.3.1. Unless you're using Making History, there aren't that many real differences between 1.4.x and 1.3.x And to keep this from happening in the future, keep your install files after you download them. In fact, just in case you should check your download folder maybe it's still there.

How do you upload craft on the spacecraft exchange?
Superfluous J replied to budgetrocketcompany's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Upload images to imgur. Upload craft to KerbalX Post in Spacecraft Exchange with links and description. -
While I was making my moho drilling rig for the Snarkiverse, I was reminded of this thread. A shade over 2000 tons on the pad, and just south of $1M funds.

Single launch Commnet
Superfluous J replied to grimlock14's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Hint: If you have enough satellites, you don't NEED to account for drift. Or set up any particular orbit except wide (to miss Ike) and polar. I'd use the decoupler's fairly strong (for the case of your tiny hecssats) power and not change the orbit of the mothership at all. I'd just get into an orbit, and at Pe or Ap eject a satellite retrograde or prograde. Do that 10 times - in 10 orbits - and your satellites will be spaced out fairly well. If you quicksave first and adjust your orbit on a reload, you can even space them out perfectly. Though they'll naturally drift over time as their orbits will each be slightly different, because each time you toss one the mothership's orbit will change slightly. You can correct for this by burning it back down to the same speed each time, but I don't bother. I strongly suggest a polar orbit, because most of what you do will "see" satellites north and south of you, and not be blocked by Duna or Ike. If you can afford the dV, rotate that polar orbit 90 degrees halfway through tossing the satellites, and you'll likely never ever lose coverage. I've found that 100% coverage is a lofty but impractical goal, and just accepting 90+% coverage for 1% of the work is fine. -
On the grounds that you signed a contract that said you wouldn't.

I found that my imagining 4 dimensions helped by thinking how a 2-d person would imagine (or experience) 3 dimensions. Or if you've not got 100 minutes to spare (I watched it at 1.5x, myself, though I also read the book twenty-mumble years ago in college) here's the trailer: And for completeness, the book: http://store.doverpublications.com/048627263x.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwvqbaBRCOARIsAD9s1XAQcsOsZgUEyygGdV2ofNmbdbEd4ypxkZW_mi_BTw_4D66dEHyUiFMaAixVEALw_wcB

I tend to do it after full chute deployment if my speed is over 7m/s with it on, but it'll be less with it off. And I've usually decided this before the mission starts, and set it up for it in staging. But truthfully I frequently don't even bring one.
