  1. The large cockpit can be excused as giving the actor room to act. And the cameraman room to film. Reaching for buttons is ridiculous however.
  2. Welcome to the insanity! Are you going to post pictures? Proof is easy to fake but a little bit goes a long way nonetheless Also, are you playing stock or modded, and what game mode (if custom, what base mode and what customizations)?
  3. Mining is okay, though exploiting mining on the luanchpad would be cheesy. We figured out that there are at least $10M available from world firsts, and it costs about $8M to upgrade everything. So it would be a feat without mining and without the admin building, but would be possible. I may even try it myself once I've won the way I'm going now.
  4. I don't know if I'll restart it or just keep it going, but one of those two for sure will happen.
  5. To raise your Periapsis, burn prograde at your Apoapsis. Actually, do it a few seconds before you get there. In map mode, you can click your Apoapsis to see how far away it is in time. Turn to keep pointing prograde, or "hold prograde" if your pilot/probe core is good enough. Make sure if your Apoapsis starts getting ahead of you, you stop burning until you reach it again. Try not to ever pass it, it makes it (slightly) more difficult. Same for lowering your Apoapsis, only at periapsis and burning retrograde. You can also burn (not too much) before your Apoapsis/Periapsis, and turn a bit radial in or out to keep your *apsis marker from going away from you, forward or back. However, that's a bit more advanced. Get comfortable with the first part before trying anything else. And remember, as with anything in this game orbital maneuvers are a skill you hone over time. You're not expected to get it on the first try, or even the 10th try. But when you do get it, you'll have it for life.
  6. Part 6, I'm going to Duna to land both there and at Ike. https://imgur.com/gallery/sVIuT
  7. And for part 5, I send 2 Kerbals to Gilly while still in the 30-part limit. https://imgur.com/gallery/VpMx4 "Leadership Initiative" is basically designed for this challenge. You get a flat % bonus to all non-taken-contract gains (world firsts and whatnot) and a -% for contract gains (take tourists places, do satellites, any contract you accept). Because ALL we're getting is the ones that get a bonus, it's free money.
  8. Enough that I'm concerned, after getting millions from my Gilly mission with only 25% bonuses from the Leadership Initiative strategy couples with both of the science/rep to funds strategies in the 40%s. I'm not going to change it so you can't use the Admin building, but I'm going to highlight those who don't use because the challenge is a LOT harder without the strategies. But that just means a non-stock way to get even more is even worse
  9. If you can hear it firing and see the values dropping but get no change in your orbit at all, then I'd file a bug report. Actually I'd file one in either case but if it's "just" a control issue the it'd more likely be considered an enhancement request.
  10. I like it. I have used PreciseNode for just this purpose while making nodes with the stock tool.
  11. Not sure I'm down with that one, as it adds money (and science but money is more important here) you can't get from the stock game.
  12. It's time for Minmus, and some Admin Building shenanigans. https://imgur.com/gallery/bwYNj
  13. Okay I finally got my 3rd mission down. This one's a Mun landing with some fuel... uh... challenge-portunities. https://imgur.com/gallery/3fYyo
  14. Not getting the core concepts of some of the fundamentals of ROCKET SCIENCE on the first read do not a stupid person make.
  15. The textures are fine. That they're all that's there is the problem.
  16. You don't need a scientist on board to use it, but you do need one to automatically reset at least the bay and goo container. Gilly or Ike/Duna are obvious destinations. The don't take much more dV than Mun.
  17. Very much. Why so many other posts?
  18. I hate these kinds of posts so I'll make this quick. I just noticed that I broke 10,000 posts earlier today. One out of every 320 posts on this board was posted by me. Yikes.
  19. Then you answered your own question with a "yes." In real life, if you screw up you don't get a rescue mission. See: Apollo 13.
  20. Other than the models look awesome, the models look awesome But really no, they don't offer any new functionality, unless there's a ventral drill in the mix which is - imo - the biggest missing part in stock.
  21. I found it. I'll put the whole contract behind a spoiler because it's a little big. Note though these two parameters in ResourceExtractionParameter (that is checked off): resourceName = Ore resourceTitle = 矿石 And these two in ResourcePossessionParameter (that is NOT checked off): resourceName = 矿石 resourceTitle = 矿石 Somehow, the translated Chinese got put into a value that - if it is not "Ore", does not check for Ore. To fix it for you, you should change the "resourceName" to "Ore" so it matches how it looks in ResourceExtractionParameter. To fix it for everybody, you should submit your bug to the bug tracker at https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com with your save file and maybe a link to this thread.
  22. Sure, it's not creating funds and from what I recall it at least waves hands at reentry heat tolerances.
  23. As a last resort, you can go into the debug menu and complete the contract there. You'll get the payout and no one would argue that you didn't do your due diligence. You're not the first by any means to have weird problems with ore contracts. If no one else does, I'll try to look at your save tonight.
