Do all asteroids have fuel/ore in them? Or do they have to be above a certain size? If you've got a link to some tutorial somewhere, that'd be even better

I'm not quite sure whether anyone else has noticed this, but where has our (as members, not devs) ability gone for being able to post articles? This used to be quite a thing (for me) in the pre-2015 forum update, and since then I can't find any information on people talking about the disappearance of regular members being able to post articles. Any information or reasoning regarding this? Thanks

I bought the game just a few weeks after 0.11 came out - that being, end of October in 2011. I've seen the game come a long way since then, looking back at what the game used to be you can still see resemblance of the current game - even still, so much has changed that it seems a completely different game at the same time.

Stock career is a bit... *different*. I get annoyed with it quite a bit, but the slow progression and contracts just makes me want to keep going back to it over and over So many people have requested I check out mods now, I guess I'm going to have to make a list of mods to check out, aside the MIGHTY LIST! Volatile? As in... kraken visit volatile?

In terms of graphics, you could try launching the game using openGL. See this link for details on that. Generally, OpenGL uses much less memory than the default DirectX renderer. Aside from that, it's unlikely that there's going to be a solution for the out of RAM issue - make sure as many of your apps are closed as possible, to free up as much memory as possible. Considering the recommended amount of RAM for system's playing KSP is 4GB, and the listed minimum is only 3GB, you should be able to run it. EDIT: I've noticed you haven't actually provided details of your system. Could we get those? Installed RAM, OS, CPU, GPU, et cetera.

I could indeed do that! I'd have to first actually make it to Eve or Laythe for an atmospheric entry - I've never been into their atmosphere(s), so I don't know what to expect

So many plugs as I've mentioned before, I generally stay vanilla for the most part, unless it's an informative mod, graphics mod, or some kind of career-enhancing mod. OH, and also military mods - which I use in sandbox. Like BDArmoury No, I've never been there. I haven't even been in a flyby of those systems.

I'll probably experiment shipping both unrefined ad refined ore - who said my program couldn't be a refiner program? It's not that unrealistic. Onto the list it goes!

I just looked at the source file Looks like the purge didn't even complete because it had dependent components, but as @steve_v mentioned, to get the packages that you need, you'll need to upgrade your OS. The command should be apt-get dist-upgrade and then a restart, IIRC.

The error is only throwing up for his libstdc6++ source file though, which was installed, and only requires GCC 4.8 as a dependency. Unless I'm missing something?

Even so, Linux Mint is a Debian-based system, so it should be able to feed off of the same package names. Especially the GCC package, but even that's not installing... So I did a bit more compatability searching/cross-checking, and those GCC packages I've been listing are only available to the latest bleeding-edge unstable versions of Debian... which I doubt you're running. With that said, I quickly spun up a Linux VM to test what packages do or do not work, and have since come up with the following commands: apt-get clean apt-get update apt-get install gcc-4.8-base libc6-dev libgcc-4.8-dev libstdc++6 I can confirm that these commands worked for me on a completely fresh install of Debian 8.8 - Linux Mint runs Debian, so this should (touch wood) work.

You could download it directly from the package listing, ensuring you've also got the pre-requisites installed using apt-get update apt-get install gcc-6-base libc6-dev libgcc-dev libstdc++6 Hopefully that'll work out.

Honestly, I kinda wanna stay vanilla for the most part. I like installing visual enhancements and stuff, but I tend to stay fairly vanilla when it comes to parts and resource packs. I might add it to the list, to check it out after I've finished my vanilla play-through

Looks like the "libstdc++" package isn't installed, or is installed incorrectly. Make sure it's installed by running apt-get install libstdc++-6-dev on the terminal, or whatever distro-specific command would install "libstdc++-6-dev". I've assumed you're running Ubuntu Yakkety (16.10) here, although this should work on most Ubuntu/Debian distros. If it says it's already installed, you might want to try uninstalling it, clearing the package cache, and reinstalling it.

ooooooo! Is mining ore and transporting it back actually profitable though? I'll probably do it regardless, but getting extra money would be a bonus Definitely adding that to the list
