lol... 1.0.5 is out? Hahahahahaha... It seem that I missed an important new. Docken ist ganz einfach.. 1.) Nah* rankommen. 2.) sobald man am nähsten Punkt ist. Und der navball auf "Target" steht, auf die retrograde markierung "burnen", bis die relative geschiwndigkeit auf 0 ist 3.) dann aufs ziel ausrichten, und richtung ziel beschleunigen, nicht zu viel, das muss man wieder wie ich Schritt 2 "bremsen" 4.) sobald man ganz nah dran ist, aurichten und docken

yeah.. it could be that it was a little bit too much to squeeze into a single thread engine... an interesting part is that i got the 100% CPU load even on the start screen...

the step is not that big.. the performance issue did appear on 1.0.4. I have tested the same savegame with 1.0.2 and 1.0.4. (as 1.0.4 was released, because this drived me mad) and 1.0.4 is just running slower, cpu/physic lag is increased (especially on OpenGL)

As far as I know are the opensource drivers not feature-complete, you need the vendor driver, see here https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/AMD -

are the drivers the last ones? I don't know how the situation now is but 10 years ago ATI drivers were very unstable. but on the other hand, are you sure you have the 64 bit version installed, what tells you uname -a ? -

what helps is the reducing the entry effects. But every mod which increases physics calculations slows it down. Hope for 1.1. But this seems to be an OpenGL issue, because i didn't have the problems with DirectX (if I reduce the ammount of mods to a minimum). But I have to play on Linux because of the tons of mods -
