;D Concerning those winglets: is it possible to not allow them to attach to fuel tanks? Except for being slightly heavier, this would be a got strain on building spacecraft. Fueselages --> good ---> fuel tanks bad. -

Tyren replied to Eskandare's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
That was.my attempt yes. Ive got still some ideas left of what i want to see in ksp, though it is not that easy, given the mass of enjoyable mods here....and i played lots of them. - - - Updated - - - anyway, lets have a look at your parts, next. There is not much i can inagine to be more useful. -

Those models are so darn pretty, o got started with blender recently and i have a hard time to even model a fuel tank... -

Tyren replied to electronicfox's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Me thinks there should be a small engine housing at the rotor axis, just big enough to get the electrical engine in. - - - Updated - - - Or you could use the stockings of one female kerbal as translator band... -

Id rather build spaceplanes whom fit in a reasonable large fairing, cruise missiles with extending winglets already exist in BDA. However, I installed Blender right now and try to get a hunch of modeling -

Personally i am fine with that, small engines cant pack massive punch. Anyway, i am looking forward to it. -

Thats why your nick is so familiar, you made the predecessor of kerbal foundries (the track part)...my head ached from thinking about it...^^ The turboprops need to be stowed countered agains each other, maybe in a longer fuselage: Yeah me sucks, but i think you see what i try to say. - - - Updated - - - It is so annoying not to know how to express oneself sometimes...^^ -

Tyren replied to electronicfox's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Cool. May I propose that the models differ from each other? The electricity version looks pretty good in your OP, but the fueled version could/should have some sort of nacelles(turboprop?) imho. Maybe i am just over my head because i dont know how much work there is to it... Sorry for sounding pushy or somewhat, english is not my mother language.^^ -

Concerning the engines: will those eat fuel or electricity? Or even 2 versions? -

Do you intend to make other sizes too? MK2/3 2.5m? - - - Updated - - - An MK3 Thrusterblock would be epic... -

I made a test flight with a SSTO to Minmus and back, imho the heat generation could even be higher, a 1 km/s burn barely raises the temp gauge above 50%. -

[WIP] [1.05] THERMONUCLEAR TURBINES! 1.0 Nuclear Aircraft Engines
Tyren replied to Eskandare's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Seems like there is a dependancy of oxygen?! I found this at the bottom of the config file: //MODULE //{ // name = ModuleResourceIntake // resourceName = IntakeAir // checkForOxygen = false // area = 0.01 // intakeSpeed = 10 // intakeTransformName = Intake //} // RESOURCE //{ // name = IntakeAir // amount = 0 // maxAmount = 1 //} } MAybe this part causes it? Edit: it is slashed out, but maybe it has something to do with the intakes... -

oh i am fine with the heat of the engines, just wanted to make clear, those engines are nuclear and supposed to get hot in closed cycle mode. Engine lighting and emissives work well. Together with the Heat Management mod your whole SSTO glows in the dark (radiation anyone? )
