  1. I thought about this for a while now...the stock effects kick in by checking the biome an engine f.ex. applies collision to with its exhaust particles...so it should be possible to define the effect appearance by biomes or biome types...i guess...dunno...maybe...^^
  2. hmm i dont care if the thrown up particles change instantly with the ground color. Usually you dont have that much difference in landscape colors anyway, so imho its fine as shown. - - - Updated - - - Kerbin is an exception, switching from gray to green in an instant. It doesnt matter on the other bodies or biomes, me thinks.
  3. hmm thats pretty neat Anyway, like i suggested some pages back, if possible scale the color of the thrown dust slightly different from the ground its been thrown up (darker/brighter?). Imho that would look even better. Edit: is it possible to lock the dust behaviour to the color brightness? Lets say the brighter the color, the more dust gets thrown up? Assuming the sand particles in the desert and the pole ice are extremely tenuous.
  4. GPUs are way more effective in slamming down serious performances, rendering a vast cpu capacity almost redundant^^ Imho x64 + dx11 should be task one in development of KSP stock...this would give modders even more capacity in creating ridiculous awesome stuff - - - Updated - - - Kawaii
  5. Sounds annoying to me...maybe clean out the code from ground up? I dont want to know how much time you squeezed into it, but imho it might be a consideration to scrap and rewrite the plugin in a clean way instead of patching it up... Well, i dont know what is faster or more efficient. - - - Updated - - - Honestly, ive been thinking lately if i should change my job in RL to programming...

  7. Hmm the ripple function is set for the left mouse button by default. Maybe one must change that in the cfg file.
  8. Loading issues could be worked around with a load on demand. Somewhere should be a mod for it. Just to tell KSP it has to refer to the EPL and its surroundings could be a tricky part.
  9. Yeah, i know. Can be delayed as well, just gives some more immersive feeling.
  10. Suggestion: hint about the approx. vessel mass/size wheels should be used, maybe in the part description. Is it possible to get them to break if you overdo it?

  12. There it goes Does the recent version,patch affect your adjustments? Ive seen a lot of changes for temperature management, dunno how much of effect there is to mods in general.

  18. I have several parts i look into, some first fuselage samples with quite odd shapes, embracing fuel tanks and recently some wheel types...
  19. Yeah i appreciate it, for me being new in modding it is quite interesting to see how complex mods are issued...i am no fan of the 'easy first' method, better some brain griller to learn from.

  22. I guess it was more intended with this question if FAR is mandatory. Imho not, due to the fact the unpatched aero is optimized for stock.
