When you plant a flag, you get to enter a little text box with info about the landing and such. I would absolutely love it if there was a mod that added a kerbal "logbook" that you could open any time to make an entry about the current situation. and maybe, if the entry is about a specific biome or geographical feature or such, that when the logbook entries are recovered (or transmitted) they would provide a small amount of science from "learning" about the area. Anyone else think this is a good idea? Or is there a similar mod out already? Anyone wanna make it for me?

Well I was talking about career when I wrote that, didn't read the sandbox part until your post after it. But still, would logging things you see not be something meaningful to do in sandbox? Right now in sandbox all we have is "go places" and I feel like being able to log the sights you see there and such would give something else to do. Accumulate as many logs of things as you can, try to find all the interesting things on one planet, ect.

Well, for the "more things to do" thing, I have a dream of the planets being very interesting on the surface, and that while roving or EVAing around, when you find something interesting, you could put in a "log report" about it, giving details as to what you see, how it behaves, its location and such. Then when you transmit the log, or recover it, you would get a small amount of science for "leaning" about the location. Don't even get me started on taking pictures for log books.

Indeed. The reason I don't stay on here constantly is for two reasons. 1: I have an active life, hanging out with friends, doing chores, going to the store and 2: people don't post fast enough. Seriously I can follow like 50 threads throughout the day and there will be periods up to and more than an hour with no posts in any of them.

That can be taken in two different ways. Do you mean that in total your time on the forums would equal 3 hours, or that you spend 3 checking on the forum, going to another webpage or something, coming back, playing a game for a bit, coming back. If the latter I spend at least 7-8 hours every day on here. If the fore, It would probably total 2-3 hours total.

Indeed, it would be cool to see specific "by the book" maneuvers for "by the book" scenarios. The current AI should fill in the improvisation gap.

I don't understand...you're saying an upgrade can't include a paint job? Why would they need matching textures? I think they look beautiful and serve their purpose as smaller versions of the full size.

How does that even look like a graphical glitch? Buildings are smaller+textures are different=graphical glitch? I never even put thought into the fact that someone wouldn't understand the tier 1 KSC, but now that I have I still can't see how it could be mistaken for a glitch. How else would they make it "tier 1?" Not trying to be rude, I am just genuinely confused. At first I thought it was a troll post, but the thread owner's second post suggests otherwise.

I have a question though. I know swearing is against the rules here ( i think) would linking to a youtube video with swearing in it break the rules? If that is the case, SQUAD has broken the rules many, many, many times. (some KSP-TV streamers swear a lot)

Couldn't you use that as a landing procedure? Use some kind of radar to find land, cut engines to like .1 throttle, and maintain certain vertical speed? Or you could just set it to cut engines and try to maintain altitude. That would be simple enough, but kinda wonky if you weren't near land...

I'm looking now for a used discovery shuttle (and hopefully the other shuttle that includes a launch pad and launcher boosters+tank) and maybe an ISS and Mars mission. (They look so cool! )
