Weird. Wonder why that is? That is absolutely amazing. I wish I could see some of the actual equipment.

I jumped to position 110 today. Hopefully I'll break 100 soon! -
Guys, please stop fighting. If you want to discuss collecting vs. building (or whatever it is) I suggest starting a thread. This thread is meant to be a relaxing thread about my enjoyment with this rare lego set. Speaking of which, it is complete! The mighty Saturn V rocket. The CSM. The Lunar Lander. And Finally, the Lunar Roving Vehicle. I'm so happy right now. I will treasure these for a long time.
-
CSM Is built! Now to the lander!

The Saturn V is built! Now on the CSM!

its pretty simple, there are two different types of people. The kind who buy it because it's unopened, and the kinda who buy it because its a lego set. I fall under the latter.
-
I used a razor to cut the adhesive and opened the box with very minimal damage, without inspection you can't tell it was opened. Also, I found the kit in my friends grandma's basement, along with thousands and thousands of other toys that she bought but hasn't sold yet. ( I mean like a full basement filled chest high with toys plus a storage room plus a garage) It was never going to see the light of day. I think I'm doing it a favor by building it and admiring it.
-
While I agree it's a piece of history, I prefer "living history" I'm opening it now (but I will not ruin the box) as I think it deserves to be built and admired. It will be very well guarded. Pics when I'm done!

KSP Interstellar Extended Continued Development Thread

Hmm. Improved microwave power? So you mean my hot dogs will only take 15 seconds now instead of 20? -
I used to have both lego city airport planes, and I had this awesome idea to make a long pole to put them on to simulate flying. And then my brother threw it down the stairs. Yeah, I think I am going to build it.

Wait I thought the AI could already land itself? I've shot the engine off and watched the plane glide down and flare for landing. Is my AI possessed? 0_0 -
That'll be the day. "hey dad, what's this?" "oh that's just a barbecue my work sent me...." Let me know when you finish that!
-
Yeah I know, when I got home the first time I saw it I was like "i'll buy my own" and then I saw it was $300.... but I couldn't sell this anyways, it was a gift from a friend. go dig them out and rebuild it! what do you mean by intact? Like don't open the box? Cause I really want to have it built and on my desk. Yeah, I want to That's a shame. I wish I had gotten ahold of these when they weren't retired and were probably decently priced, as I really, really, really want the discovery.

I was at a friends house, and I noticed this box sitting in the basement. I was in shock. I told him how insanely cool it was. I knew I would never see one again. Well today he dropped by and said he had something for me...lo and behold, he gave it to me! And just look at what it is! I'm so happy! It's "new in box" although the box is damaged and scribbled on. Now to decide to open it and build it or not EDIT: It is built! Speaking of which, it is complete! The mighty Saturn V rocket. The CSM. The Lunar Lander. And Finally, the Lunar Roving Vehicle.
-
But papercraft and renderings are nothing compared to your favorite craft sitting on your desk.
-
most, if not all of that was simply sarcasm and humor. I certainly wouldn't call it hate.
-
Holy $$$$! that's a lot of money! I really wanted one too I won't be able to afford even a small though.

I'm speechless. I took my telescope hoping to find Saturn. The website I was using pointed me directly south (for the exact time of night) and I started looking there. I thought I had found it, but it was so dim, and I couldn't find it with my telescope. Wanting to make sure my scope was still working, I pointed it over towards the west a bit to the brightest object I could see. At first it looked just like a star, but turning the focus knob a bit and waiting for the vibration to settle and.....Saturn comes into view. Seeing was pretty bad last night, so it was mostly blurry, but every once in a while, for a second or two, it would shine through clear as day, and I could see the rings and planet. I'm so amazed that my telescope can see it, and I'm ecstatic that I saw it.
-
Are you kidding? those are amazing!
-
Oh I know, I only mentioned them cause I found them first.
-
So, I've been looking at getting some 3d prints, mainly a planet or two and a favorite craft or two. But the Eucl3d site is confusing, as it doesn't list a price anywhere...is this because of the varying size of craft? If so, what's an average price I could expect? Also, does it work with part clipping, or is that a definite no-go? Like if a wing is made up of many wing components clipped in a way that makes a certain wing shape, will that work with the 3d printing, or no? Thanks.

Guess I missed him. Although I was going down the list one at a time with the forum list in a tab next to it, so I guess I had a pretty good probability of missing someone. I noticed lots of position jostling as well, but I know the only way to fix that would be a daily update, and I know that's out of the question.
