I downloaded lots of plugins the other day, including chatterer, KAC, Alternate resource panel, Texture replacer with Raredens 8k skybox (so much pretty) trajectories (VERY useful for Duna aerobraking!) and some others. And can I just say....wow! The immersion this mod adds with the others I got is insane. I liked the ambient "alien" sounds in space, but I turned them down cause they were blaring. However, I was playing in the dark in the night, everything was silent, I was tweaking my orbit when all the sudden.... "BEEEEP!! BEEEP!!!!" I nearly fell out of my chair. Those SSTV beeps are one heck of a jumpscare!

My first badge was Space Exploration. (seriously) My last one was....well. my last 2 (got them at the same time) Were robotics and sailing.

I landed on Duna for the first time! I've been to Duna, and landed on Ike. But I've never landed anything on duna. I've landed on Eve, Gilly, Mun, Minmus, Dres, Laythe, Tylo, bop, and Pol. And now finally Duna! I should mention that most of those landings were unmanned. This duna landing brought a kerbal with it! Got loads of science from duna high orbit, duna low orbit, duna high atmo, duna low atmo, and landed. Then rendezvoused with the main ship in orbit! So happy it all worked out. (Crazy, the lander ran out of fuel 1km from the main ship with 10 m/s relative to it. Good thing it had a little extra monoprop for docking. ) Now waiting a year and a half for a return window...yikes! (Also I didn't accept the. "Explore duna" contract cause I thought it was automatic.....which means my landing didn't count. )

I've played it at friends houses, but it was never fun, because each time was on a different console. Therefor, I didn't know the controls. Every time i was limited to button smashing and then losing.

Yeah, I was working on a duna transfer stage (I usually do my Duna missions with a three module ship. Transfer Stage>Main Module (with lab and utilities)>Lander) using LV-909's, I got 4,100 m/s of Delta-V. Using Nerv's, I got 3,900 Delta-V. I chose the Nerv configuration. Why would I give up 200 m/s? Cause the Nerv config weighs significantly less due to the tanks not having oxidizer. Makes the whole craft lighter, and I think with the added weight of the rest of the module, the Nerv will outperform. Anywho, Aerospike pretty much is the go-to for anything Eve.

What he means is this: EVERYONE in the community has access to stock KSP. (provided they bought it) You have access to it. I have access to it. Slash has access to it. Everyone starts with stock, and therefor stock is the biggest group of people because it literally includes everyone. Not everyone can run mods, especially RO, so that group of people is naturally much smaller than the stock group. If Slash focuses on stock craft, it can be used by everyone in the community, because we all have access to stock KSP. It may not work in RO, but thats a given. Just cause you play RO doesn't mean you don't have access to stock. If you made RO craft, yeah they would work for you. And anyone else who has your exact RO config. But for anybody else, with stock or a different RO config, most likely it won't work as intended. So Slash didn't mean that RO users weren't part of the community as a whole. He just meant that the whole community has access to stock, therefor by making stock craft he can appeal to the whole community.

Except, that was a question that got answered. A few people chimed in with requests. There's been about...4 or 5 threads like that have popped up recently. They always die. This thread is supposed to be permanent, and sal_vager OKed this thread to be official. I'm gonna ask about a sticky also.

This is a thread where you can post a request to have your forum username changed to whatever you select. (within reason) Post on here with your request for a name change, and the new name you want. Warning!!! You only get one name change! Once you change your name, the new name is permanent, no exceptions. So choose wisely! I will be monitoring this thread closely and PMing Sal_vager with any requests to make sure they are all taken care of.
