  1. Does that mean the BDArmory contract mod can have Air to Air battles now? :0
  2. you forgot to Czech the speedometer, don't wanna get caught Russian around above the speed limit. Don't wanna Iraq up a speeding ticket fine.
  3. You just gave me my new location no avatar though.
  4. Ah, they discovered rings on Uranus since the article I was reading the other day. Whoops. But a minor body isn't a planet, so that one doesn't count towards my earlier statement.
  5. That's better than someone saying "Is jupiter the one with rings?" and then somebody answering "Jupiter doesn't have rings" That's a double facepalm, as there are 3 planets with rings, and Jupiter has a 1000km+ wide ring system.

  7. its alright, I can understand it being confusing, as it makes no sense in the first place. The torque is there for when you don't have controllable fins. So it makes sense that they upped the torque, so that it would have an effect. But take away the rest of the ship and it starts to seem a bit much.
  8. 6/10 not sure what is it besides a gun with a gun.
  9. My suggestion would be for them to optimize the atmosphere for reentry and launches and such, so that the space side seems right, and then just adjust plane parts until they fit realistically in to the new atmo. IE reducing jet thrust, adjusting drag and lift. that kind of stuff.
  10. no no, I mean they have "reaction wheels" inside the command pods, giving them torque, or the ability to turn themselves. Except in KSP they have absolutely absurd amounts of torque, able to rotate themselves in any direction. (you can have a pod on its side and turn it upright.)
  11. Exactly what KSK just said. I'm smiling like an idiot in class right now holding back the urge to shed a happy tear. Nothing makes me happier than hearing about how others overcame struggles in their life. And the fact that its because of the best Space game in the universe just makes it even better. Congrats man, Congrats. Also, you should give us a way to read your thesis. I'm sure lots of people here would be interested. KSP has also changed my life. For the longest time I wanted to be a pilot. I had everything planned out. 3 times. First it was becoming a commercial pilot for UPS. Then it was a charter service. Then it was Air Force. But now I know my calling is in the aerospace industry. I still plan on being a private pilot on my on leisure, but I know I'm going into aerospace. I've already been scouting colleges online for aerospace degrees. Now I just need to find the right field of aerospace. I'm so excited. And i've never been excited about college.

Another prey tactic is to change directions frequently and in 90 degrees. If they split it only goes forwards, so if you change direction enough you can escape its range. I once got to 6 on the USA East leaderboard. Till the leader devoured me while i wasn't looking.
  13. Welcome! Yes, it is very addictive. Hope you're having as much fun as I am!
  14. Also, another big unrealistic thing is command pod torque. (and reaction wheel torque, for that matter) Place a lander can and launch it with batteries. You can flip it around and roll it for a long time. Doesn't work that way.
  15. Oh, the comment I made about propellers wasn't directed at propellers, I was just giving an example of a plane that can reasonably land at 30 m/s.
  16. 30 m/s is closer to 120 km/h I believe. (Doing mental math here) Now, for a Prop driven ultralight Cub, this is reasonable. (Some can land at near stand still) But for anything that's using a jet, landing speed should be MUCH higher.
  17. Or if you have a really tall lander and need to angle the landing gear way out, therefor limiting the space under the lander for engines. Then radial engines begin to make sense. Or if you have a space tug that you want to be able to pull and push. Makes sense there too.
  18. I kinda think of them as engines for use in space. Their IsP may not suggest this (I don't know what it is) but when I make space tugs and such, I always make the engines radial but attaching the shortest fuel tank to the side of the main one and put the engine there, with a fuel line to the smaller tanks.
  19. What about just the falcon? It's just plane parts, what all would be messed up? Besides the new aero...but it might still work.
  20. So do I. Is it confirmed that they no longer work?
  21. So many images related to me popped up, I took screenshots of 5 pages of results. The ones that aren't blacked out are directly related to me. Craft I've made, my avatar, all of my friends' avatars, ect.
  22. He's already quit, notice how his username box now is just text and it says "guest" can someone link his thread about asking about FAR? I wanna see what happened.
  23. 3: He means single barrel machine guns. No gatlin rotary multibarrel guns. (the hidden vulcan is the regular vulcan gatlin gun hidden inside.
