  1. I asked my friend about his desktop BG, which happened to be screenshots from KSP. That night, I downloaded the demo version and got started. Maybe about two days later I got the full version.
  2. Cool. Looks just like the old cartoons and that kind of stuff.
  3. I was reading the blog post on the Asteroid mission a couple days ago and I don't know about something. In one part of the post it says that you must "detect and identify" an asteroid to capture. Does this mean that we will have multiple asteroids to chose from?
  4. At the moment, mine is probably first successful unmanned Moho mission. All of the previous missions had failed and flown by. This one worked, though. I deposited an orbital science platform, a probe lander, and a rover on/in orbit of Moho in a single mission.
  5. A couple months ago, I spent ~$1700 on a new laptop, mostly for KSP. I also do some animating in Blender, so I was able to justify it a bit more with that.
  6. I made a couple of jet powered centrifuges, one capable of pulling 16 Gs. I'll post pictures later.
  7. On an old thread, I saw someone who did this. He built a cage with girders and struts. Can't remember where I saw that, though.
  8. It has been pretty quiet recently...
  9. I have a lifter that extremely prone to this. The booster just flies off, making no difference to the lifter whatsoever. The lifter in question is also prone to random total failures.
  10. I have 3 kerbals stranded on Laythe for about 8 years now. I'm sending the 6th rescue mission in the next transfer window.
  11. I had the same thing when I crashed my SSTO into one of Kerbin's oceans. One kerbal just kept climbing deeper and deeper, despite any attempt to stop him... I eventually reverted to the launch pad
  12. It did it again! This time on my new computer!
  13. I have iDisplay on my iPad, but it once gave my computer the BSOD, so now I'm afraid to use it.
  14. Motion blur looks kinda neat. Cool timelapse, though.
  15. I had a similar incident when sending my first rover to Duna. My solar panels were only on one side, which turned out to be the wrong side. It is forever trapped in heliocentric orbit, only powered up at the wrong times. One of my lessons is: Thouroughly test anything that is going on an important mission. (Not following this caused many mission failures.
  16. I've been thinking of using mass relays to assist some probe missions to the more difficult planets and was wondering how I would calculate the Delta-V from a mass relay. I have no idea where to start on the equation. Any suggestions?
  17. I'm thinking about doing something like this for myself, but I have no idea how to work with USBs and/or Serial Ports in programming and I don't have the slightest idea on how I would integrate this into KSP. Could anyone give be a basic idea of what I'd be doing or point me in the right direction for some information on this?
  18. I've got a great idea for a mod, but it involves modifying one of the views and replacing it with my own. How would I go about doing this? Is there any way to modify any views? P.S. This is also my first mod, so any tips would be great:)
  19. My Munman Kerman was almost killed on a Mun mission.
  20. I have an Alienware 14 with an Intel i7 @ ~2.4ghz, an Nvidia GeForce GT 765M and 16gb of RAM. This allows me to play KSP with the highest texture settings, 2x anti-aliasing, and 80% surface scatters with relatively low lag. I only have problems with really big (500-600+ part) ships.
