All hail V-GER! (If you don't get that reference, you need to check it out.) Heyo, dere. Weeeelcome to ze forums. V-GER is actually the VOYAGER probe, which had become sentient and aquired worshipers. the OYA part had been smudged out. Star Trek stuffs.
Well, my first "station" was made of the standard 1.25 meter parts... and had about 1000 parts. So basically: 1000 KSP parts + Intel Pentium processor + 2 GB of RAM = Essence of Lag. Bad days, thing was "decommissioned" *cough*blownup*cough* I've gotten really good at manual docking, and I'm efficient, too.
Ha, ha, "lithobraking" is a nice term... although painful. If you want to try it, quicksave each time. Then you can revert to your station and try again.
Metinks you are using jets. Or some kind of mod. Is this thing a plane or a rocket? [looked at post] Yeah, it's probably a rocket, using jet engines, and running out of the resource called "IntakeAir". Use normal rocket engines on rockets.
I suggest you just go out there and learn for yourself. Have fun and blow some things up. Then try docking and landing at other planets, build a space station, fly airplanes. Download some mods and try those out. If you are really stumped, come back and ask for help. But just "be yourself" and play your way.
I suggest you get as much fun out of stock before you put mods on. Although, if your computer isn't beefy, mods like B9, KW Rocketry, and FAR will eff you up. So be careful with your choices.
I had to think for several seconds before I realized it too... it's pretty sad. But anyway, try some kind of sport or game that is not computerized. Like RISK. Fun game, you either get creamed or destroy the other person, and a lot of it is strategy.
Ah, FSX. Haven't played it in quite some time. But I was really good at flying jets. 737's, anyway, because for some reason 747's refused to take off. Don't have any pictures, though...
FAR: Biggest pain in the [()()()] for airplanes. You have to build them like real airplanes or they WILL NOT FLY. If you made it in stock and then transferred to FAR, you're gonna have problems. But otherwise, your CoM should be inline with your CoT, and your CoL behind and above the CoM.
Me is assuming u no put 'chutes? That happens sometimes. Just aerobrake and send up a rescue ship. Or, EVA all the Kerbals and turn on "no crash damage". Or just let them die.
Lets see... KSP, KSP Forums, Minecraft, Tekkit, Minecraft with the ICBM mod, THINGS, Robotics, Modeling (3D kind not the other thing), Animation, Model Railroading, Reading, Programming, Morrowind, Modding Morrowind.
