  1. A sick or injured cat, or a cat dealing with a lot of change, is a stressed cat. "What the heck is this big dumb puppy doing in my space?!?"
  2. He might need to throw money faster, so he runs out in 63 years. Or 40.
  3. I also want to complain that I wanted to get concert tickets for either Paul Mccartney or Elton John, but I choked when I saw the prices of the cheapest tickets: $350 for Paul or $260 for Elton. Like, what the....! Wow, just wow...
  4. Well no, I haven't Looks like luxury box seating for the senators...
  5. I didn't see a F-14 Tomcat on that list; the swing wings might be challenging.. Maybe an X-29?
  6. I can't seem to google up a reference to it, but back in Pavel Bure's heyday with the Canucks, a defenceman (for some reason I want to say Dana Murzyn) was quoted as saying something like "Easiest assist I ever got. I just said. 'Here, Pavel. Go!"
  7. Well, his first crap landed on the mock toilet seat, and he scooped a lot of litter on the floor trying to bury it, but at least he's trying to use it. It's a learning experience for both of us....
  8. I think it has little to do with Boyle's law and a lot to do with Raoult's law. I first noticed this problem while trying to light a cigarette as I was waiting for the ski lift after a run.
  9. Thousands of hours and probably thousands of launches later, I keep forgetting about these. I really need to give that a try.
  10. Hmm, doesn't want to play in Canada, so here's a link to the same song that does.
  11. Fair enough, but where does he poop, still in the litter box? Any particular method or guide you followed? Figures this thread would get a reply from a space cat...
  12. Hmmm, a common accident according to that book, especially if the cat gets confused...
  13. I'm thinking it would burn on contact, not mixing enough to explode.
  14. I have to wonder, has anyone here toilet trained a cat, or has a cat that was toilet trained? I'm in the process of toilet training our cat, using the book Toilet Training Your Cat: Relaxed Cats DIY Accident Free Guide by Marian Pack. I was able to download a free copy for the Kobo eReader app on my iPhone. I'm currently at what I'm calling Step 2: Building a mock toilet: Step 0 was moving the litter box to the bathroom, and step 1 was elevating it. He's using it, so I think this might actually work. Has anyone else tried this? I know patience and a stress-free cat is the trick. I wanted to try this much sooner, but we had gotten a puppy, and then when I was ready to try it he came down with a urinary issue (crystal formations needing a special (read:expensive) food). Now that I have a happy cat again, it was time to try.
  15. More recently, two weeks ago I made a simple nightstand, mostly from pieces of old dismantled desks and stuff. The convenient part was that the only piece I had to cut was the top piece of plywood. Yesterday, I made a mock toilet as the second step in toilet training our cat. I think getting him to use it is probably the hardest part of the process, and he has used it a few times already, so I think this might actually work! E: I just started a thread about this here:
  16. Just use Raptor exhaust as a preheater. (Definitely joking now)
  17. Maybe he’s 3D printing them out of stainless steel? I’d say I was joking but that just might be right
  18. I once tried to posit that there was no heat energy, just cold energy. But that theory didn’t hold water. it just froze it
  19. I've noticed that with my cellphone battery. Would it be worth it to spend some of that Tesla battery power to warm the battery? I would also think they're eating up their range by warming the cabin. Bundle up and turn off those heated seats and steering wheels for maximum range! I noticed butane lighters don't like to work when really cold either. My wife is complaining that it's snowing all around the Greater Vancouver area except here in our corner of the Fraser Valley. I'm complaining about that because I don't want to drive 50 km to work in the snow tomorrow.
  20. I can slap together some simple things, functional but not really sellable. And seeing as I use my garage for actually parking a car in (of all things) I generally don't have the space-time to paint/stain/otherwise finish things. But hey, they do the job. Some things I built two or three years ago... A small desk that folds down against the wall (found some nifty locking brackets for that) I also built an under-the-stair-storage rack for my wife's canning: What I would like to get is a Kreg jig, and the small ones are cheap, but I want a bigger one, which don't fit my limited tool budget...
