  1. In conjunction with this thread I wanted to ask, Is there an official way for those of us who purchased the game directly from the ksp website to get a hold of the CSteamworks.dll. We need this to utilize the native steam controller support. It seems that only those who purchase ksp through steam are able to get the dll. I'm trying to get the best set up for my steam controller and steam link with KSP.
  2. Currently Steam Auto-Updated my game to 1.3 and I reinstalled all the mods. But it frequently crashed with mods, but runs smoothly without mods. I had tried throwing out some but it keeps on crashing! I don't know why that happened. Please help! (P.S. Unfortunately this happened too at 1.2.2) Mods Installed: JSI,ASET,KAS,KIS,Mark IV Spaceplane,Prakasa Aerospace, Malemute Rover,Feline Rover,Texture Replacer,Plantary Base, Cryo Engine/Tanks and Hyperedit
  3. Hello, When I play Kerbal Space program and alt+tab out, when I alt+tab back in, the taskbar shows up at the bottom of KSP. Any fixes? EDIT: Screenshot Thanks, Slntreaper/TwinKerbal.
  4. I took the toy train set from X-mas 2016, deleted the tracks, added more cars, and now you (and Val) can drive it yourselves! Here's what's included: One steam engine from 100+ years ago. a coal tender to feed the steam engine, full of coal already. a tank car, empty a boxcar gondola hopper car passenger car (close enough) flatbed fantasy circus car and of course the caboose at the end At full throttle the wheels throw sparks (thanks to @Castille7) We hid 2 junos inside the engine, but starved them with only 1 intake. The un-starved engine makes a huge coal plume. The one that chokes I angled downward to the wheels. It even chokes at a drum beat pace, with sound, so it goes chug-chug-chug after full throttle warmup! I bailed on the RCS balls for hitches. The Majorjim! hinges provided flexiblity for turning, yet helped control roll, which was very much needed. I put a stopper on the bottom so the pins don't pop out. Unfortunately the cars are permanently attached. Gifs: KerbalX
  5. Running a brand new Steam install of KSP. 6. Hello, So the other day BeardyPenguin released his Fall of Kerbin mod list. I was really excited to give it a shot but when I found out it was 1.1.2 I thought I could just go into betas in steam properties and find 1.1.2 but I cannot I only see 1.0.5 and 1.1.3. Is there any way to get 1.1.2? Any help would be most appreciated.
  7. Sometimes, I look at games like Besiege (and others) and brouse the amazing machines people have made on the Steam Workshop. Then I say to myself "Man, I wish I could do this with KSP!" I think this should be a feature. Kerbal Space Program should have Steam Workshop compatibility so that people can upload their awesome ships online.
  8. Hi how do i make a fresh new install with steam (to the mods move this to where this is supposet to be i don't know where)
  9. I've played the demo which I found pretty fun (gotten to the mun and back ) and I'd like to get the full version. Where should I buy it from? I can get it from Steam for £29.99 (http://store.steampowered.com/app/220200/) or the KSP website for £10.19 (https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/kspstore/index.php?p=22). Is there any difference between the two as one is £20 cheaper? Thanks, hope to be flying crashing soon
  10. Title pretty much describes it. My steam client autoupdated ksp to 1.2.2, but I am getting impatient waiting for certain mods to be updated for 1.2.2, so can someone give me a brief rundown on how to get 1.2.1 back? I tried going under the steam properties and opting out of the auto updates and such, but this happened after the 1.2.2 update was already downloaded and installed. Thank you
  11. The Steam Sale has launched, great deals for the next 6 days (ends on the 29th). What are YOU buying?
  12. KSP: 1.2.1 64-bit Problem: Crashes to Desktop and or freezes indefinately Mods Installed: KAS 0.5.9 (Upgraded to 0.6.0 and tested also) KIS 1.2.12 (Upgraded to 1.3.0 and tested) MiniAVC, ModuleManager 2.6.25 (Upgraded to 2.7.2, and 2.7.4 and tested) (Tested with clean install and NO mods installed, still crashes through Steam.) Reproduction: Install KSP 1.2.1 on macOS Sierra Beta 2 and run through Steam. Game refuses to load and freezes/crashes to desktop about 25/75% of time. Never correctly launches. Log files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B5pkscNB5-75NkFqRnMwTnBiY3M?usp=sharing I have been playing KSP via Steam client for a couple months now, bought it back in September. Recently, I upgraded my OS to Sierra 10.12.2 Public Beta, and KSP ran fine still, but only for a while. I had several mods installed at the time, MechJeb2 (which was installed incorrectly, being one folder level too deep, and would not load any required packages), KIS 1.2.12, NearFutureSolar 0.6.2 (also installed incorrectly because I had not removed the contents from the internal gamedata folder), KAS 0.5.9, Kerbal Alarm Clock 3.7.1.0 (not installed correctly) , DockingPortAlignment 6.4 , and ModuleManager 2.6.25, and MiniAVC which was included with the packs. The reason I installed so many of these incorrectly is because I didn't know to remove the other folder sublevels (Shame on me for not reading the readme's) But since KIS and KAS seemed to work I didn't try to mess with it anymore. Since then I have correctly installed all my modpacks and have resolved the issue, because launching the game from the folder through the launcher without using the steam launcher seems to work completely fine, and I would imagine this is fairly similar to this issue. (Link1 Link2 Link3) But what is odd is that all my other Steam games run fine- and I have since updated all my mods to be 1.2 compatible, and once again it works fine, BUT only when I launch from outside steam. I tried running 1.2 without any mods, and deleting the entire folder and reinstalling from clean install, Didn't work through steam. I tried validating all the files, and checked out. If you have any idea what the issue is, please let me know. I would like to run KSP through steam again to log hours and get achievements. Thanks!
  13. Alo gnt eu andei pensando aqui no forum geralmente o tempo de respostas entre um e outro é meio demorado oque acham de criarmos um grupo na steam ou em outro aplicativo?? Crio o grupo se acharem necessario Comentem Oque acham Fuiz
  14. There's an useful idea. How about allowing the players to save their game and upload it to steam cloud? I've seen a couple of other games do this and thought it was a cool idea
  15. I've been really excited to try out 1.2 but whenever I try to get it off of Steam from the beta pre-release, I can't access it. I have signed up for beta on the settings and also singed up for the pre release discussion or group or whatever its called. Am I still missing something?
  16. 17. KSP Version: no longer work, I can't check version on splash screen but it's always updated by Steam and the buildID.txt is build id = 01289 2016-06-21_20-12-27 Branch: master What happen: I was playing all week nights, with a few random crashes but I'm not complaining on those, game was mostly running fine and then... - I paused the game while on rescue operation in orbit - Since music still plays after Alt-Tab to read docs on the web, I decided to set music volume to 0... Escape-> Settings -> Music volume 0 -> Apply After that no more music but the window app game is frozen and then gone... And I can NO LONGER START THE GAME in anyway. Tried after rebooting PC, nothing happen when I start the game from Steam. No splash screen, nothing. It was (mostly) fine before that setting change, I could play for hours. No mods, no add-on, Steam verified install Step to replicate: see description of what happened, but I'm enable to try to replicate: it no longer start. Nothing happen after. My system: PC Intel x86_64 + NVidia, Linux Mint KDE 17.3 64, 8GB RAM, French locale. Classic keyboard and mouse, no fancy controller or joypad. One screen attached to the graphic card. Steam games in custom directory, no problem before and no problem to start other Steam games. Lots of space on disk. My attempts: I edited settings.cfg to set back music to more than 0 (0.3), and I also put back Full screen and resolution that wasn't correct (that's strange). I have a copy of the unedited file. I changed Steam KSP startup option as suggested: LC_ALL=C %command%_64 My question / request: I would be very grateful to anyone would could help me or point me toward a bug solving process, but right now I can't even find a clue EDIT: looking into that thread that look promising... EDIT 2: SOLVED! (workaround) Just delete or rename that file: ~/.config/unity3d/Squad/Kerbal Space Program/prefs Here is the offending prefs file content, a bug in KSP has written crazy resolution: <unity_prefs version_major="1" version_minor="1"> <pref name="Screenmanager Is Fullscreen mode" type="int">0</pref> <pref name="Screenmanager Resolution Height" type="int">23</pref> <pref name="Screenmanager Resolution Width" type="int">1</pref> <pref name="UnityGraphicsQuality" type="int">5</pref> <pref name="UnitySelectMonitor" type="int">-1</pref> </unity_prefs>
  18. KSP 1.1.3, latest Steam client, i7, 32GB RAM, GeForce 960 I get the following error sometimes when quitting KSP: It usually results in KSP hanging on exit and I'm concerned that it is somehow corrupting my saves. I cannot reproduce the fault and haven't found a pattern to the situations in which it occurs. It doesn't seem to matter if I start KSP from within Steam, from the KSP icon that Steam placed on the desktop, from CKAN or from my own shortcut. All of them have the same commandline switches, -single-instance -popupwindow Is there a solution workaround out there? I've searched the Steam and KSP forums and haven't found anything useful yet.
  19. I've noticed online a 3D printing company called Eucl3D, and it supports printing .craft files. I thought this was great, and wanted to print out one of my space probes. Then, I noticed, I use Steam, and I don't know how to access my .craft files. I've heard of how to do it on the standalone, though. Can anyone help me out here?
  20. i do have opt-in selected for the prerelease, 1.1.3 is currently out but my game is still only on version 1.1.0.1228, i even tried going back to the last stable version and then back to prerelease again but it still didnt help. has anyone else had this issue?
  21. Hello, My steam client is not updating my game to 1.1.2. My game remains in 1.1.0. I have selected to opt-in the beta. But it just doesn't update it. I played with 1.1.0 a lot. And my mods are having problems because of this.. How can I make Steam to update my game? Please help me! My circle is dead, there's something wrong...
  22. Hi All, So for the longest time (since probably pre-0.24) I would launch KSP via the executable in the KSP folder, without opening steam, or after closing it first. To save the RAM of course. A few days back, I was getting MAD crashes, mainly in the VAB, but also in-flight. I have a LOT of mods, so I wasn’t too chagrined, but it seemed to be getting worse, so I did some digging through my output.log. There were some nullreferenceexceptions and some other erros, mainly only of a couple of types it seemed. I don’t know emough about these things to be able to identify any mod-related issues from what I saw. But I did see “steam” appear a few times. So I thought “Is KSP looking for some handle or other from the steam program, and not finding it, getting upset? So I now start KSP via steam, and for the last couple of day have had ZERO crashes… This might just be observation bias, if crashes are random, then they can get better as well as worse. Is there any reason why crashes, specifically VAB crashes, might be related to running Steam? Thanks!
  23. Hello, Just wanted to point out, that since version 1.1.2 the Steam launcher automatically launches KSP in x32, by default, instead of x64 like in version 1.1.1. If one would want to launch in x64 (most of us do), you would have to go to the Steam Library, right click on the game and click on "Launch KSP (64-bit)". I would like an option to choose which one it should launch by default, or go back to launchit it in x64 by default. Or some suggestion as to how to configure the launcher with the "Set launch options" so that the game starts in x64 when clicking on the shortcut.
  24. Sorry Gaarst, my curiosity trumps your frustration. Have a poll!
