ROCKET SOUND ENHANCEMENT An Audio Framework Plugin and Sound Overhaul/Replacement for Kerbal Space Program. DOWNLOADS Rocket Sound Enhancement Plugin (Required) : GitHub Rocket Sound Enhancement Default (Config Pack) : GitHub Dependencies : ModuleManager Source and Issue Tracking (GitHub) : Plugin | Rocket Sound Enhancement Default License Rocket Sound Enhancement Plugin is licensed under GNU General Public License v3.0 Rocket Sound Enhancement Default is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 Plugin Features Rocket Sound Enhancement (RSE) is an Audio Plugin Framework Mod for Kerbal Space Program that offers modders advanced sound effects features not available in the base game. It features a robust Layering System for use of multiple sounds just like in other games (eg: FMod). Master Audio Limiter/Compressor Sound Mastering that controls the overall loudness of the game with Adjustable Amount for different dynamics with the "Auto-Limiter" feature or you can tweak your own settings. Audio Muffler - Normal Mixer based Audio Muffler with Dedicated channels for Exterior Sounds, Focused Vessel and Interior while ignoring UI sounds like Music. Audio Muffler - AirSim & AirSim Lite An Audio Muffler that works on top of the regular muffler that takes into account the Mach Angle, Velocity and Distance of a Vessel with Sonic Booms Effects (provided by a Config Pack via ShipEffects). Parts with RSE Modules will simulate realistic sound attenuation over distance, comb-filtering, and distortion. Game Events like distant explosions will now sound muffled just like in real life. AirSim Lite is a version of AirSim that does similar effects without using sound filters. Howdy Folks! In the spirit of Thanksgiving first to all of those who celebrate it I want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! With that said, I would like to ask each of you a simple question in the spirit of Thanksgiving. What are you thankful for? I will start I am thankful for my best friend, my brother from another mother. I cherish the near 30 years I was privileged to call him friend before he left our world. I am thankful for all the memories I got to make with him over those years. I will forever miss him. So, my fellow forum goers, how about you? 080011262020

Kerbin Helicopter Circumnavigation The Kerbin Helicopter Circumnavigation committee is pleased to announce the first Helicopter Circumnavigation fly-fest of Kerbin. All participants are welcome but must provide their own equipment, JET-A and support team. Objectives of your mission, should you accept it: • choose any location on Kerbin as starting point • fly by any route to the exact opposite side of the planet[1] • (check that opposite point is land, not water, before you depart) • publish photos/coordinates at the end of each leg, as you refuel • by all means, post photos along the way of peachy-keen scenery for your fans following your progress • having reached your opposite point, return to your starting point by any route you like, continuing to document progress on each leg • land at your starting point • congratulations, you will have covered at least 3,770 km in a chopper and entered a Hall of Fame of now-permanently one-handed aviators (as your right hand will remain clenched and useless forever) • you will receive a badge and the adulation of your aforesaid fans • You Must Use A Helicopter! For the purposes of this exercise, a Helicopter will employ main rotors, unlocked and spinning in a co-relatively fixed plane, at all times during flight, as its primary means of lift. Other forms of propulsion are permissible as long as the aircraft remains intact throughout the flight. Kudos will be awarded tacitly to participants who demonstrate endurance, good photography with a keen sense of natural beauty, as well as possibly innovative design features. (You are not required, however, to use equipment of your own design.) Participants are strongly encouraged to provide a map update of their progress. The one posted above can be downloaded and marked up as desired... Missions officially kick off on December 1st but participants may start any time they are ready. You are welcome to post progress in this topic or in your own dedicated thread, as you wish, and I will happily cross-link this topic to yours upon request. [1] as a working example, if you chose the KSC coordinates, 0° 6′ 9″ S / 74° 34′ 31″ W as your departure point, your trip opposite point would be: 0° 6′ 9″ N / 105° 25′ 29″ E. totm december 2020 Poor Pilot, Better Plane
seyMonsters posted a topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Having returned to Kerbal recently after an extended absence (so its not in alpha anymore?) I have recently started a let's play on my youtube channel of a career mode..... let me get to the point... I'm BAD at PLANES, always have been.... both building and flying... my challenge for you.... Send me your designs for "learning to fly" type players.... safe but fun craft for me to learn to fly in. I will trial a group of them and make a video about the experience (giving credit clearly to the creators) If this goes well I would love to make further videos with different design challenges... Suggestions, or submissions, please Poor Pilot Better Plane Submissions if you want to see my journey so far...
