3d printing Space Constructions

I remember thinking on several occasions how I would love to Get 3d models of the ships i've built in KSP. No time more than after Laythe One. After sending the mother ship the small space plane Osprey. And two small landers to the Jovian system. And returning after exploring laythe bop pol and even dres (It was a big modular ship with lots of fuel). And now it's actually happened. But I have seen mostly evidence of prints of stuff straight from the Construction Facilities (rockets and planes). So to the point. Will I be able to print stuff I have built in orbit?

Instead of glueing parts together you could drill small holes in the docking ports and glue in magnets. Now you can dock and undock as often as you want. Just make sure you keep a close eye on the polarity.

Like Blondai, i also would like to see some of my designs in 3D. The question remains: Is there a way a user can get a 3D print of a design (f.e. through the sfs file)?

Apparently the community has discovered a way to export a .craft file to Blender, which then can export to any general 3D model file. However, I'm not sure of the restrictions on the method, etc.

These days with subassemblies and picking the root part it's not hard to reproduce inside the VAB a design you assembled in orbit. That way you can have the craft. file of a finished space station, for instance, making it easy to send it to Eucl3d.
