Ersatz Hypersonic Nosecone

One of the problems with the new Aero/Kinetic heating model is that none of our aircraft parts are built to withstand any kind of heating.

For example, nosecones appear to be made out of the finest aluminum foil available.

To that end, after incinerating every nosecone I put on my Mk3 cockpit, I had a flash of brilliance, a 1.25m heatshield works like a charm.

It would be nice to see them add some form of protective heating elements perhaps after the fact. Like an upgrade from R&D gives you a 15% additional protection on certain parts.

Right, it's like the kerbals have no such thing as Titanium, Inconel, and other such scientastically magical materials.

The new wings survive Hypersonic flight just fine, but most of the legacy parts are made out of toilet paper.

The new Hypersonic intake is barely that, and the Turboramjets need a mode switch control.
