Anyone going to watch the Venus Transit?

Going to try to see but considering I\'m stuck at home with a somewhat obstructed western sky I doubt I\'m going to see much. I\'ll try to have the telescope projector but i\'m going to have a pinhole one on back up.

Skunky, that projector idea is flipping genius... Seriously. You should get some kind of award for that.

You mean the helioscope? The standard method of observing the sun for the past 350 years?

We had a pretty cloudy day, but GIVE IT UP FOR THE 21ST CENTURY!

I had images from the various observatories along the East Coast of Australia (plus occasionally one from Mauna Loa) on the Smart Board at School all day.

Every class I taught got an ear-bashing about the significance of the event. :)
