If it can land on water and take off of water, post it here. If it is made of modded parts specify what mods are needed.

Here is mine

So I've got the Sea Hippo which has a submarine in it. The sub is a POS with regard to handling though.

And then there's the Queen of the Sea. I got carried away with creating a custom nose and cockpit. The proportions seem a bit wrong, I think I need to raise the wings and it will then look a bit better. However, the Queen of the Sea flies beautifully and can poodle along at about 30m/s.

I'll post craft files if/when I'm happy with them.

Instead of posting the SSSTO (which while it works is not very practical or fun) let me show you my new experimental seaplane, the S-EX 1, I'll post the forum link in a minute.

Lands and takes off nice, bit sluggish when it comes to maneuvering though, windows being covered slightly by the wings ticks off my OCD, but I guess that a good thing, at least my psychologist says so.

Yeah I built it mainly to test landing and taking off from water, just happened to look nice too. Plus it's an island hopper, not a fighter jet, it's top speed is only 150ms. I found it's important to have very good balance, CoL and CoM need to be close so you can pitch out of the water, more wing than needed to get liftoff and stall speed down below 50ms, and having drooping wingtips like mine look cool but destabilise the craft, better off with straight wings. My SSSTO powers out of the water on thrust alone, when I tried replacing the rapiers with a single Goliath it couldn't get out of the water, though that engine was sufficient to take off and land fairly easily on the runway.

I managed good landing and take off performance on my first try (first post). With full tanks I do need to move as much fuel as possible to the tail to get it off the water at 60-70 m/s, despite that it can hold enough fuel to circumnavigate kerbin once, but with no cargo.

Got two versions of one set up for FAR - but I flew the completely stock one in a completely stock game after I reassigned all the control surfaces, so I guess the other one might work too. Done as an experiment for watercraft, so the cargobay is full of clipped bits of nosecones & so on but there's still room in the back for something small. Also enough fuel to fly for about 2 days if you fill it up & cruise at half throttle...

Needs B9-pWings and some editing of control surfaces to fly in stock sensibly. I fly with Pilot Assistant which makes me a bit lazy about fine tuning craft balance, but it seems reasonable ( my hands won't let me manually pilot anyway ).

And this one is stock parts ( still set up for FAR though ).

This is like! Seems to fly alright in stock but can't take off, It seems grossly under-powered, think I'll make improvements

Probably the control surfaces, the full-stock one took off at 40m/s when I tried it. I'll give it another go, maybe that stealth update bust something. Not sure what the state of b9PW & stock is either.

Could just take some fuel out too.

Edit: here's an all-stock version set up right. But having flown it a bit it does seem not to like taking off from water much ( in FAR it'll go as fast as you like in the water ). I think the last patch did break it for stock :S

Action group 2 for reversers, 4 for flap/brake extend, 5 to retract. The airbrakes don't seem to work for some reason, though.

Edit2: yeah, just defuel the wing root tanks & it'll take off. Edited by Van Disaster
