ksp 0.21 mechjeb?

If you go to the releases section for MechJeb on github  you can find versions going back to 2nd Apr 2013, which predates 0.21, but probably v2.0.9 (which came out the day after KSP 0.21 was released) is the one you want.   BUT, don't expect to be able to get any support with issues for such an old version, that's not fair on the modders.

Those are the source, not the compiled mod.

I did what you said and in game I put the mechjeb on my ship but when I launch the mechjeb tab isn't there at the left side of the screen like it should be. What's going on?

I believe I gave you misinformation, I thought those releases contained the compiled mod, but apparently it's just the source code, so that's not going to work out for you.  Sorry, I sent you on wild goose chase!

The zip has the part, but doesn't have the compiled .dll, just the source code for it, which is why the part shows up, but you don't get the functionality.

Ooh ok. So how do I go about getting the mod working in my version of ksp?

Thanks

I don't know if I'm allowed to do that, but I still have an original build (#73) from the jenkins server.

It is for 0.21.1, and I don't know if it will run correctly on 0.21

So, if someone is able to determine if I'm allowed to reupload this old version, I will do so with pleasure!

PS: Sorry from my bad English

If only I had known that before, it would have exempted me to create an account on it!

I hope dropbox is Ok, I edited my last post. :)

@Stone Blue: Ok, that's fine! If someone else is in the same situation it will be usefull. ;)

I shall repeat my suggestion here that I made in another thread when Kasper_vld suggested a place for all old KSP versions to be posted...

I suggested a museum, not only for KSP, but the mods as well..... many many people still play the old versions for whatever reason, we should not abandon them .... ever...

can you imagine a world without vintage cars or air planes????

That's a bit more complicated than hosting old versions of KSP due to the variety of licenses on mods, many of which forbid rehosting (or rehosting for commercial use, which this would arguably be).

True.... but we can seek permission, and where none can be found (those that are no longer with us here) then links to the original files can be posted...

Its not so much to help people, which it would, but to preserve the history.

Issue is the amount of time you would need to compile the list, test for validation, get permission and so on is too much for anyone. Trust me, I'm trying to run RSP, people do not have as much time as you make out to be. Besides, you would have significant gaps in versions and mods due to licensing and worst off, the forum shift, media fire, and , KerbalStuff shutdown incidents have likely burned anyway remnants of certain mods, as the mod developer may have dropped support and deleted any work they may have had, but with those incidents, they may be completely gone. It's just too much.

I never said it would be easy, but if someone... or some people... don't try, then the history will be lost...

Then, 40 years in the future, someone will dig up all the add ons and they will sell for a fortune on E-bay.... (ala Atari cartridges... )
:)

It would be nice, but sadly there just isn't the community for it :/ . Trust me, I've tried.

If only that would really happen. If only.
